I've posted this message in the nursing student forums, but since I live in NC I wanted to get NC student nurse perspectives...
My grades were in on May 11. I've heard from my school's DON that our transcripts/verifications were sent to the NCBON on May 18th. I still have yet to receive my ATT and thus cannot schedule my NCLEX exam. I've called the NCBON and they told me while they have received my school verification, they have not yet been entered into their database (and will not be for 1-2 weeks). Is this normal? I was hoping to be licensed within a month of graduation (is that unreasonable??)
To any recent grads: what school did you graduate from, and how long was it before you received your ATT? How long between graduation/pinning and when you were licensed???
In NC - do we have any authority to begin work as a graduate nurse or must we be licensed as an official "RN" (in other words, can we not go through orientation if we aren't an RN yet, so long as we don't care for patients directly???)
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
Thanks for the tip...You were right. My results WERE available, despite the info sheet on "quick results" that Pearson gave me at my exam. They said not to even bother checking prior to two business days, but there my results were, at 10am on Saturday morning...
I PASSED!!!!!!
Congratulations!! Still waiting for my ATT. How long did it take for you once your info was processed?
Did you opt to receive notifications by email? B/c, truly, ATT notification by email is infinitely faster than mail.
I did! I am not understanding this at all. I called Pearsonvue to check the status of my ATT and they haven't heard anything from the BON yet. Once again, I have called the BON to see what is going on. I have left a message and now awaiting a response. Or I will keep calling until I get someone.
We had one fellow student move immediately after graduation to NC. Keeping in touch with her and she too is complaining of the red tape in NC. Her grades have been in since May 8th. Still no ATT.Her fellow students in TN received their ATT May 21st.
If she hasn't gotten it yet, tell her to get on the phone and start complaining. This is when I began to progress.

Finally! My call yesterday to the BON made a difference. The school verification has been processed. I hope it doesn't take that long to get the ATT.
