NEW GRADS: ATTs received yet??

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

I've posted this message in the nursing student forums, but since I live in NC I wanted to get NC student nurse perspectives...

My grades were in on May 11. I've heard from my school's DON that our transcripts/verifications were sent to the NCBON on May 18th. I still have yet to receive my ATT and thus cannot schedule my NCLEX exam. I've called the NCBON and they told me while they have received my school verification, they have not yet been entered into their database (and will not be for 1-2 weeks). Is this normal? I was hoping to be licensed within a month of graduation (is that unreasonable??)

To any recent grads: what school did you graduate from, and how long was it before you received your ATT? How long between graduation/pinning and when you were licensed???

In NC - do we have any authority to begin work as a graduate nurse or must we be licensed as an official "RN" (in other words, can we not go through orientation if we aren't an RN yet, so long as we don't care for patients directly???)

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

The NCBON just updated my status...I'm hoping to receive my ATT today. I know for a fact that my verification has been at the Board for two weeks.

From what I hear, the send notice to Pearsonvue pretty quickly after updating their database as "received" or "complete". We'll see!

Thank God! I wish you the very best. I just pray I don't have to wait another 3 weeks before anything is done. Thanks for your help. It really got things moving fast because this guy emailed me at 10:40pm last night. Apparently he decided to start working.

How coincidental is that - that we both got our answers at about the same time. I think my email might have sparked something! At any rate, I'm glad things are getting done. I don't want to get too excited - just my luck, my ATT will find someway of not making it to my inbox! My fingers are crossed though...we'll see.

Still waiting for my ATT. Some in my school got their code on Monday or Tuesday. I feel like you, maybe my ATT is out in cyber space floating around.

graduated may 14th from nevada grades posted last week , no att .. as of yet...one girl in my class of 100 got her att from pearsonvu..... she is taking boards on 6/19..... i took kaplan a week ago and keep practing the questions on the q bank .. also reviewing saunders.... i hope i don't forget all this info

I would DEFINITELY email your boards of nursing...

I emailed mine with a lengthly complaint (yet professional) letter on Monday 6/4. I had my ATT on Wednesday 6/6 and took the test THIS MORNING, 6/7. I wouldn't recommend doing it that quickly - I didn't have time for it to sink in, "Ok this is it!". I was tired and fatigued from driving to my testing site 200 miles away (don't even get me started on that).

BUT I'm DONE! PRAY HARD NOW!

The one classmate got scheduled asap which was 7-2-07.

Where did you test, if I may ask to get scheduled so quickly?

Hope you passed TNUp2Jen.

I searched every test center within a 300 mile radius of my house...and ended up having to test in Washington, DC ( I live just north of Raleigh, NC ). There were three others from NC testing there and all said that the testing centers here in NC were booked solid through June. I can attest to that. Raleigh as some openings the second week of July. The only other sites with open dates are in VA for the last week of June.

Good luck!!!

No problem - I have nothing else to do but sit around, wait, and post here - for the next four days!!!

Why do that? You can pay to get quick results and they should be available 48 hours after you test so technically you should have results on the 9th.

Good luck to you!

Quick results are available two BUSINESS days after the exam, not 48 hours. The difference for me is four days, as I took the exam on a Thursday. Friday, Monday are the next two business days. Sucks for me, huh?!?
