New Grad Residencies for Summer/Fall '16

Published

Hi guys!

I was wondering if anybody had plans on applying to new grad residencies here in Georgia for the summer/fall of 2016. I graduate in May 2016, so I have now started looking for residencies to apply to. I have created a long list of hospitals that I am interested in. Anybody else considering applying? If so, what hospitals? Maybe we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

Same here. Piedmont is my #1

Piedmont called me today and the recruiter said she is still working through applications, so hopefully you will hear from them soon!

Yay! What was the point of her calling you? Did you get an interview, or was she just updating you?

Just a phone screen I think. She asked about what locations/specialties I was interested in and about my senior preceptorship. She said she would start scheduling interviews in about a week.

Awesome! Thanks for the update!

By the way, when did you apply and what are you interested in?

That's exciting to hear. Good luck everyone!

And just a side note .. does anyone know where they will be doing their preceptorship unit wise?

I am in the medical ICU

My school is taking so long to let us know! I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't know. I hope that doesn't affect whether or not the recruiter will call me for an interview.

I do not think that would be fair. My school has us do our practicum the whole last semester, which is different

Sounds like most in the thread are BSN candidates.

I am in an ADN program. Outside of GA obviously.

I applied the Monday after the application opened, Feb 15 I think. I applied for the ED, but my preceptorship was in the MICU
