New Grad Residencies for Summer/Fall '16

Hi guys!

I was wondering if anybody had plans on applying to new grad residencies here in Georgia for the summer/fall of 2016. I graduate in May 2016, so I have now started looking for residencies to apply to. I have created a long list of hospitals that I am interested in. Anybody else considering applying? If so, what hospitals? Maybe we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

It did not ask on the application. No email yet.

I got the email earlier today too. And no they didn't ask which areas yet... Wondering when that will finally happen.

Anything from Piedmont this week anyone?

So Piedmont just called me to see what areas I was interested in, and to kind of feel out for my experience I guess? She said she would be in contact with me within the next couple of weeks if they want to proceed with an interview...

I think me not doing my practicum in critical care may have hindered me. She said the managers like to see students do their practicum in critical care if they're interested in that specialty. So I'm sure I'll be forced to choose something else, which is okay, I'm not picky! I'll be grateful for the experience, then move on to the ICU when I gain my experience. So I guess we will see!

Did you only apply to one Piedmont hospital or multiple Piedmont hospitals?

Nothing so far from Piedmont. I applied to multiple hospitals btw.

I also got the Emory e-mail. If we got the questionnaire and sent it back by today, does that mean we will automatically get an interview?
