New Grad Residencies for Summer/Fall '16

Published

Hi guys!

I was wondering if anybody had plans on applying to new grad residencies here in Georgia for the summer/fall of 2016. I graduate in May 2016, so I have now started looking for residencies to apply to. I have created a long list of hospitals that I am interested in. Anybody else considering applying? If so, what hospitals? Maybe we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

hey meeep

Can you please check out the "Mercer-2016" thread and answer my two questions pretty pleeeease? Happy Holidays :)

Hello all,

I too will be done May 2016. Looking into residencies ASAP as well. Want to try and get in early. Been pretty much stalking websites to see if any apps were open. I saw that DeKalb Medical had a fall 2016 nurse residency application open, but nothing else so far!

I have been stalking the websites as well. DeKalb Medical has an application for spring 2016, not fall. Fall should be up next. Definitely keep yours eyes open and update us if you find anything. I'll do the same!

I must've saw what I wanted to see then lol, good thing I didn't apply lol. But I sure will!

For those who plan on applying to Eastside Medical Center, they have now updated their website for the residency. Does anyone plan on going to the open house on January 30?

Just looked at Eastside and I noticed that they have a 3.5 GPA requirement. Hmmm I guess I might need to look at others places.

Yes, I noticed that they do have a minimum GPA requirement of 3.5.

GMC applications are now open for those who plan to apply.

I also graduate in May 2016 and was wondering if for Grady application process we already need to have a Georgia license to apply?

Yes, you do. (Unless you work there as an extern)

Any idea when the emory applications will open?

Just a heads up Emory's residency application is open, and Wellstars has been up for quite some time. They have already contacted me for an interview!
