No you are not the only one that it has happened to. Tho you sound like you have faired well through school. Maybe your exercise habits changed? Here is a link of other going through what you may be experiencing.
Maybe you are finally relaxed and your body is not so stressed out anymore!! I find when I am stressed or on edge constantly that I lose weight, but when I am happy and relaxed I tend to put on a few pounds!!
Wow...I have the opposite problem...I gain when I'm stressed, maybe I'll lose when I start working!! :)
Hey all --I graduated in May 07, and just hit my 6 month mark of being a nurse. I never gained the freshman 15 of college, but, I feel like over the past two months, I've started gaining the nursing 15!! I don't even necessarily feel like my diet has changed.. but apparently it has!
I guess I'm looking for some reassurance that I'm not the only one having this problem?! :uhoh21:
Stress weight would be my guess, stop stressing at work.
Same thing is happening with me....I am newer night nurse and I fig I would lose weight but the exact opposite has happened ;(
I think it is def the stress and also my running and working out habits have def taken a turn for the worst. Hopefully it will all change soon b/c I am frustrated as well.....Good Luck

kcok65 I am with you on that one. I have gained 25 lbs since the beginning of nursing shcool. I just can stop eating when im stressed. And it doesnt make it any better eating out every single day with my classmates. Its horrific!!!!!!
In my last clinical rotation (thank goodness I'm finished with those), I had to switch to a bigger size on my scrub pants. I was just afraid I was going to bust the ones I had. This creates a dilemma now that I am about to start working. I have several scrubs in my old size and now only 4 in the bigger size. Basically, I'm going to be wearing the same four outfits until I lose weight or can afford to buy more...and the latter is more likely! LOL
Although I have been trying to eat better..and there is a website that I've found that is wonderful! It's http://www.sparkpeople.com, check it out!
