Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I was also offered a slot for the August intake but I requested to be included in the September batch because I know that the visa processing might take about a month or more. If you still have not lodged your visa application you might not make it on time.Maybe you could email them and ask for a slot in September... Let me know how it goes. We might become classmates.[/QUOT
Hello, are you from the Philippines? Can you pm me your contact no. and fb account. I really do hope they would reconsider me to be included in the sept. intake instead of august. Have you applied for the visa already?
Thanks sweetie. I sent mine two days after you sent yours and received it this Tuesday. I don't think you're in trouble. Your assessing officer might just be taking his or her time checking your papers. Think positive mate! Good luck and I hope to hear good news from you soon!
Please check your inbox when you have time Shaneyney. Thanks!

hi nurses! anybody here who's also on the waiting list for con's intake? pls let me know :)sent from my iphone using allnurses.com
i submitted my application last march 19, 2012. (my application was actually submitted by my agent) no response from them (con) for two months, i guess. until my docs like my passport and police check got expired.. so i have to renew those and re-submit. i sent an email to con addressed to *****, inquiring about the status of my application. and she replied me with this:
please be advised that you are still on the list for the selection for the next program scheduled for september.
and this one too, after submitting my expired docs.
