Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hey! glad to hear you got your eligibility already. as for me ill email my case officer again, and hopefully get my LOE earlier than what he said. btw, what are the requirements needed for applying to CON? was so sad and got stressed to hear that their sept intake is already full. my first choice is also CON coz most of my family live in NSW, and studying far from them would be extra hard. the feb intake seems to long but what choice do we have right? argh!
Who told you that September intake is already full? I submitted my application to them last friday and haven't received any email from them yet. If it's true, then i have to be worried cos time's running and i don't want my papers to expire without even using them. That sucks. For CON, they require the LOE, NBI clearance, Immunisation records and IELTS :)
i read it here. altho been reading a lot of pages, might have read it wrong. hopefully there are still slots available. yeah, it would be a real bummer if papers expire without even being able to use it. gaaah! i hope we all get in. Thank you for the info, will get my shots, etc ready. :) btw, are you in the Phils or in Aus?
hi Blicka! =) goodluck dear on your interview with MHTI :) which do you prefer more, btw? :) so you haven't started with the e-course? oh yeah, you're the one from NZ, right? :) hopefully, in august dear we'll be there :)
Nah, not in NZ lol... It was my first time to post here few days ago. Yep I need a lot of luck for that interview, thank you. I prefer MHTI, having their own training facility would be an advantage in my opinion and I prefer Melbourne. I just emailed IHNA today asking if I can submit the required docs and fee next week. And if I can squeeze in for 25 June intake in Melbourne LOL! Well, who knows? So have you started the e-learning yet? How was it?

Well since i'm really worried about the september intake, i emailed the CON just now and hopefully she replies tomorrow. I'm here in the PH still waiting for the enrollment so that i can move on to the visa processing. Currently employed in a BPO with no hospital experience at all

Hello! Good thing they gave you your eligibility even if you dont have a hospital experience. I thought it was one of the requirements in applying in ahpra? Well I hope we also get our LOE soon. God bless on your BP hunting! :)

I used to be a private nurse and that's what i declared. You will for sure! Thanks. Hope i can still get a slot for september :)
To my fellow nurses here, we should try to help everybody here as much as we can because we know how it feels to do these things all by ourselves.
hope she replies fast. been reading the list of accredited BP schools in aus, seems there are a hell of a lot of choices in Victoria, dang it. and what about the University of Wollongong, have you tried it there? that is another option for us peeps who prefer to study in NSW.
I haven't tried to look for other schools except CON cos i think that's the cheapest. Where can i see the list of schools that offer BP in NSW? And how much are the tuition fees in those schools? I prefer NSW cos our house is there. This is getting crazy and frustrating.
there are only 2 choices for schools in NSW, one is CON and the other is Univ of Wollongong. this is the site : Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Approved Programs of Study
then click on "internationally qualified"
it is super frustrating, wasn't worried awhile ago but after reading posts here, i got ca-ray-zy stressed!!! lol! btw where did u get your shots? and your medical clearance? i heard jacobs ladder!?! hmmm...

How much is the tuition fee there? I went to Asian Hospital in Alabang and got all the shots there. In regards to PPD and Anti-HBS, it was with HP laboratory. You can go anywhere you like as long as you can get certificates :)
