New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi!

aphra-wa has requested me to submit a reference letter and an updated cv..

with regard to that, i have worked as a staff nurse in a tertiary hospital for 1 year and right now, i am employed as a company nurse. from whom should i request my reference letter?..from my previous nurse supervisor or my current HR supervisor?..(coz i do not have a senior nurse in the company)..

also, who should sign on my cv?..my former nurse supervisor or my current HR supervisor?..

i'm sooo confused..please help..i've been texting my consultancy but they were not replying..thank you..God bless!

Hi Glitz,

I did apply to LTU Bendigo, for the May 2012 but it filled up before I could find the money for the tuition. Their next intake is on January 2013. It's not that easy for me to find the resources, you know, I'm the family's breadwinner and I have no rich relatives. So I have no choice but to get help from an agency who will shoulder all expenses. But schools really fills up so fast so now the nearest intake is August in ETEA but I'm getting worried that my chances of getting in will lessen because I have to wait for the result of the IELTS that I'll resit on June 9. Results will be 13 days after exam date. And ETEA is my only chance for BP since AHPRA agreed to allow an extension given that it will start on August and end in November, not that far away from my LOE's expiry date.

I thought it was in WA that LOE's are 24 months in validity. Must have been in another state. I'm sure I've read somewhere in this thread that a forumer's LOE is 24 months valid.

Aww :( This must have been so hard for you.

At least they have consider your request for extension. I have read my LOE just now that extensions will not be granted. God still made way for you :) Have you tried applying in different schools with your current IELTS? Just keep on trying! Might as well send your English Certificate from HS and college, maybe they would reconsider :)

God bless.

i did not bother sending a bank statement with my name because the statutory declaration from my aunts was enough, according to the customer service agent from the embassy. 456 is NOT a student visa. it is also known as the business (short stay)visa. TIA

anyone here who passed their application in QLD?

Hi! To all IHNA applicants. Question please. What receipts did you send to IHNA admin after paying for the enrollment and online course fee --1,000 and 500AUD through credit card? Please help. IHNA personnel claims that they didn't receive my payment where in fact I received 2 confirmation emails stating that I successfully paid the said fees. I have also sent them those confirmation email (online receipts), however, they told me to send a hard copy of those receipts.ur

Can anyone share how you did your payments? Please.. I am really worried.

Your inputs will be of great value.

TIA

try College of Nursing in Sydney and ACFE. :)
Thanks aila. I will try those schools
Hey erikadioza.I'm actually in the same situation as you are although I still don't have my eligibility letter. I haven't even started my application since AHPRA requires at least 3 months experience. Haha. I know of schools who accept overseas nurses without experience. How were you able toacquire an eligibility letter without experience though? Maybe we can help each other out. Add me up in facebook: [email protected]. Same with my ym.
It was not so strict by then when I applied for my assessment last July 2011. Took me 6 months to received the letter. Can u tell me which school you know that offers bp with nil nsg experience. Ur help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
