New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses

Hi guys!

I know you've been asked about this like a million times already but I hope you can help me. I'm planning to send my requirements for application to AHPRA ASAP but I'm still not sure with my CV. I hope someone could send me a sample of your CV just as a guide. Please! Please! Please! =) My email is [email protected].

By the way, I'm most confused on how to make the clinical/procedural skills and Internship and Observership. I have read on this thread that the head nurse can certify that I can I really do this procedures, I'm just wondering where to put it on my CV or does it need to be written on a separate sheet? And about internship and observership, is this about my clinical rotations/exposure when I was still a student?

Thank you guys! =)

Waiting for AAON offer letter for June intake. Interview was on 02nd April.

To be honest, I used AHPRA's CV instructions as a guide only. I still did my own format and all. I mean, as long as you put in your CV ALL the information that AHPRA is requiring on the CV, you'll be fine.

And my HR manager signed it. But I guess your nursing supervisor will be fine.

But that's just me. Other may have a better idea.

Been waiting for 5 months now. some forumers here have waited 6, 7, 8 months. according to ahpra wa they are done with applicants from August to September 2011, but still i haven't heard anyone who got their loEs.

I followed up last week via their website, and all I got was the same email saying that i'm for final approval.

Hi chacha . .I'm also waiting for my LOE. . .It's taking them long to process it . . When you went to their office what did they tell you? . .. :(

@ jamic: hi, i have 5 years working experience and presently working in ministry of health in Saudi Arabia. I don;t have ielts yet but I am planning to take the exam in July. thanks for asking? do you know any agencies that help nurses like me? that offers a study now pay later plan? i do have relatives in Melbourne Australia but I am not sure if they can help me with the tuition fee. thanks again.

I've read somewhere in this forum that there were Filipino nurses in KSA who tried the AHPRA route but I'm not sure as to the status of their application now.

Regarding the agency thing, quite few of the forumers took the aid of Phil Management but most of us here did it in our own.

hello everyone!

regarding the Course Description for AHPRA, would having the basic nursing subjects be enough for it? or should i have all the subjects be included ( minor subjects like english, math, chemistry, zoology, speech etc)?

My school only issued the nursing subjects' description :(

also, regarding the vaccinations, plz correct me if i'm wrong:

most schools usually require 2 shots of MMR, 2 shots of varicella, as well as Dtap which is only one shot.. Am i right? thanks everyone!
