Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

you're right . .If I have the same timeline with you, I would opted to transfer my documents too . .God bless. . Please keep us updated. . .Thanks .. :)
its just that my friend who lodged sept 9. final approval email is dec 28. still nothing up to date. then. its still a long way to go... still contemplating to transfer..
i think its like that fro everyone isnt it?
Yes. . it's the generic mail that they send to applicants with complete documents. .I have read on AHPRA website that when an applicant has been emailed that her document is complete their standard time frame is 4-6 weeks.. I think this rule does not apply in AHPRA-WA . .I will email my case officer for an update . .

yeah... but as for WA.. they will always say "they cant give a time frame" right? so yeah most likely this rule doesnt apply to WA. due to the bulk of applications they are now currently assessing.. plus. 4-6 weeks would be impossible for them when some of the aug-sept applicant are still waiting this small piece of paper.
yes.. remember noelle_18 here.. she lodged hers january 20 got her LOE january 6. as long as the documents are complete. but knowing WA said my docs are complete.. now I am contemplating on switching states. Im here at WA and Im not even entertained.
the last time i heard about AHPRA-Vic is that they were also flooded with so many applications that it took them more than 5 months for the assessment that's why applicants opted for WA then since it took shorter time of waiting for their LOE. I hope someone can verify with this.
I also have a friend who submitted her docs to VIC last Dec. and got her LOE some time in January. I think this is a case to case basis since she had a work experience in the US as an RN already and applicants with experience in first world countries are prioritized. This is just my observation though. Have you asked noelle_18 if he/she had previous work experience other then the Phils.?
