Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi thanks for sharing. Where did you stay while you were in Melbourne?Do you have any suggestions of good places for accommodation? I am starting my bridging program this coming April 4 but still have not arranged a place to stay. One more question, what is the exact address of the place where AAON hold their lectures. Thanks!kMe! I did my bridging course in AAON. We didn't have an early exit, so we all had to do the course for 12 weeks. We were only 23 in the batch, 8 Pinoys, 1 Iranian and the rest were Indians. We had 4 weeks of lecture in Melbourne, which was same asM what joiemike has said, and 8 weeks of clinical placement in NSW. No one was sent in regional or rural areas. Just in the suburbs, where transport in available. I should say that the course that we went through is quite good. We did have a lot of paperworks though. Of the 23, only 1 did not make it, for not completing the requirements. But yeah, like joiemike, I think I'd also recommend AAON.Most of us, did find a job right after we got our registration. I think only about 2 haven't found their jobs yet.
@KringKringHave you emailed or tried calling AHPRA-WA? I am really sad about your post. .
Are you finally decided to transfer your documents to AHPRA-VIC?
@Mr E-nigma Did you ask AHPRA-VIC and SA if the nomination for the new board will affect the processing? . .Thanks
ow yeah.. where is this? is it in SA on? or includes all state? forget to ask that.
@ladydee-rn @g2stalt @vanessa2685I rang WA earlier. They said its still august and september and august applicants. They cant guarantee a timeline. any news about your applications guys?
@ MR E-NIGMA Thanks for the information . . Still no LOE yet
. What else did they tell you? Where are you going to transfer your documents? If they are already assessing the August and September applicants, I need to wait. . Transferring my documents is not the right option for me. . .

VICTORIA and SOUTH AUSTRALIA. . Try to look on their website. . I saw your preview post that AHPRA-WA told you to write a letter if you want to transfer your documents? Are you done with that? It seems that it will take weeks for them to transfer documents if that is the case. .

@Mr E-nigma . .I am not sure about it too . .That's why I asked you if you have mentioned that matter when you called AHPRA-VICTORIA. .It would be appropriate in your case if you transfer your documents. . . I am really frustrated about this long waiting time, but I have no choice. . but .. to WAIT . . I am always praying that we will get our LOE .. .
