New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses

CON stands for the College of Nursing. It is a school that is offering the bridging program in Sydney. I'm not currently in Australia but I used to live/study/work in Sydney for almost 2 years. I was in Australia when I lodged my AHPRA application, got my LOE, and appplied in CON.

didnt get you?how did you enter Oz? your not is oz now? so your in phil? you went home? what did you do here for 2 years?

What I know is that it doesn't matter if you lodged your ahpra application in a state where you don't intend to work.. A friend said she lodged her ahpra application this January in SA but until now, she hasn't received her LOE.. So you better be decided if you would want to transfer your docs.. ;)

she on final approval already?

@ilovedogs

where and when did you pass your application? its in WA right? what date? are you for final approval already?

Passed my documents last February to WA and got an email that my application is for final approval this March.

Are your documents complete? It could be that they are having some problems with your requirements. I know someone who passed her requirements earlier than you, but because she had some problems with her documents, the processing gets delayed.

I doubt you're being discriminated upon. Just verify politely on how you can facilitate your papers more quickly, IMHO.

From what I understand with the process, you can only have an advancement for final approval if all your documents are in order and complete.

no its complete. they emailed me that it is complete just this week.. its been complete since dec. and up to date that email for final approval thingy is not being sent to me. its really frustrating me out. ill give the perth office a visit early next week. and request this transfer of documents..

it is, my case officer is just to slow. all of her clients were so delayed...

If it is complete and everything is in order, maybe you could just ask why your papers has not been advanced for final approval. It could just be an unfortunate misunderstanding or something like it. I can understand your frustration, I've been in a situation like that before when I was applying for a previous job, but you really have to be cool about the whole thing and just ask them nicely.

Haha. Good to find another dog advocate here! :)

Submitted my application last February. How about you?

To be honest, the suspense of waiting is killing me. Everyday, I check my emails with shaking fingers. LOL!

Hello I love dogs!

I am asking calmly of course.. the last thing we all want is for them to be mad and had idea that I am a person of bad character. im just frustrated with all this rockus and delays. telling me things such as priority then end up being last in line.
