Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

@Mr E-nigmaWow, how I wish I can also earn that amount of money in the future. What is your job while waiting for the AHPRA registration? Aged Care?
yes... Im an assistant coordinator... though im just really an AIN..they just trust my gut i think. when the EN's and Rn's are gone.. Im in charge.. =) bcoz most AIN here are just under student visa or not even a nursing affliated course. somehow they took credit of my exp in a mental and geriatric institution... RN in this company earn like 37-40.. no kidding. this company is very generous. even got a 2 week worth of bonus last christmas. even i havent got to spend a year with them. you also get free flights home once a year(via a budget airline though) better than nothing.. hahaha.

WOw, wow, wow... I guess, the thought that you could do better is what's stopping you from staying there, right? I mean your current salary is waaaaayyyy better than mine but if the salary of an Australian registered RN is almost times 2 than your current then I don't blame you from wanting to quit your job and do BP....
Still can't get over your current salary.... wowowowow.... I wish the salary of nurses here in the PH is the same as your current... At least,I'd think twice on leaving the country...
@Mr E-nigma .WOW. . .Please help us if we apply for a job . .:) Give us some tips. . I have a friend who is an Australian resident, when she was unemployed, the government gave her monetary allowance every month. .
Really? I so wish to be unemployed right now and be an Australian resident :hrnsmlys:

youll get sick of it... most of the nurses here are the old ones.. I miss being in an action packed hospital.. young nurses usually gun for a hospital job..routine here is boring..

That's encouraging info. Thanks for sharing. Can you give your input on how easy/hard it is to apply for a nursing job there? :)
FOr those who are planning to choose CON for their BP, I suggest you try other BP schools like AAON and WLI.I have paid 10000AUD last February but still haven't received any visa offer letter.
Been sending emails to*I**** but she doesn't reply to any of them. I rang her too but it is as if she's hurrying to put the phone down. Tsk.
I also know some with visa already but wasn't selected for the April intake. I believe they are already receiving high volume of applicants (with payments made) but can't accommodate them all that's why they put up a May intake as an addition to July and September. hehe.
This is only my view ok? Or maybe I'm already frustrated. Oh well, God has plans for all of us. :)
hi there,, I know what your feeling, I 've been there too... I wasnt selected for the jan intake because they have done the selection before the deadline date in the letter.I gave my visa on dec. 16, 2011, its also the deadline date. But they have selected prior to the deadline hehehe,, thats why I am askign the coordinator why they have selected before the deadline, it has no use at all. anyway, Now they have sent me the letter of confirmation for april intake. You are absolutely right, its hard to withdraw the money because they will charge you.. just keep the faith, Im sure Con will select u for May intake.
