New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

so the may intake is finalized already? That's good news! Did irene say if there are still slots for this intake?
yep and she said that the selection for that take hasnt started yet..keep our hopes high... :)) cheeeeers!

hi guys, I made an online inquiry via Ahpra's website this afternoon at around 5PM Philippine Time. I was surprised by their quick response. It would be approx 8pm Australian time there right? maybe they are on Overtime, just to catch up on all the pending applications. anyway, here's Ms XX's reply:Thank you for your online enquiry.*I refer to your application for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) received on 1 November 2011.*We seem to be in receipt of all the documentary requirements to complete the assessment of your application form.*Your application has now been escalated for final approval. Please note, as every application is assessed on its own merits, a time frame cannot be guaranteed.*Please await for notification regarding the outcome of your assessment.***************************I already emailed my CO. anxiously waiting for her reply.

@Mr E-nigma thanks for the information. I hope by the end of the month they will give the LOE. I find it risky to transfer my documents for this time. I'm estimating that by March 29 they will release the LOE. That's the estimated date after 6 weeks of receiving the final approval email (February 15).

@Vanessa It's the same email they have sent to us. Their answers to our queries are all the same. :sniff: Hopefully, we can get the LOE soon. ASAP. . .

(van u have the same icon pic with g4gold .. hehehe . .)

@G4gold Thanks for the information ..I hope we can have our LOEs so that we can catch up with CON'S selection process . . .:nurse:

I find it risky too... my plan was to apply to another state pending my WA application.. but the sad thing was need to go home to once again.. arrange all documents from PRC and my school.. its a bit of a bother.

@Mr E-nigma have you tried calling AHPRA-WA today? I guess we need to wait until end of the month . . I hope they will not disappoint us. .

nope. i didnt coz i just called them last monday.. they might take it against me if i consistently bug them.until now im not sure why its taking them so long to assess applicants. I mean. if you provide the needed documents shouldn't they just give you what you need? its a pain to wait. ill call again next week. monday or tuesday.. *ofcourse the call first went to them before they reroute me to SA.

is there anybody here that knows a September applicants who already received their LOE? and anybody who knows who hasn't? coz if none has been given yet. then it only means its not progressing at all.. I'm planning to resign from my current job and wanna take the BP.

@Mr E-nigma I have a friend who submitted September 9. She got the receipt of application September 14. She received the email that her application is for final approval last Feb 10 . . She emailed AHPRA and she was told to wait because they are still assessing her application. We are expecting that she will receive the LOE March 24 ... Let's see then ..
