Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

joiemike Hope they are paying you overtime if you work more than your contract full-time hours, thats the law and visa requirements....and I hope they (I know who you mean) apply for another visa if they change your work site.
of course ceridwyn. my working extra shifts is totally voluntary on my part. i was the one who suggested to them about working on weekends. i need the money to finance my going home this june, you know. my boss just warned me not to overwork myself. she told me she used to do that when she was away from her family working in the UK.
anyway, it was heartwarming for the staff today to let me go home 30 mins before i was supposed to go and still be credited the full 8 hours work. i initially refused being just one week on the job. but they insisted because it's friday and everyone deserves it including me. hahahahaha:lol2:
Good day! I am processing my papers for AHPRA already and I just need to clarify the one posted earlier in this thread that subjects that are not in English presented in the TOR needs to be translated. What about the Filipino 1 & 2 (minor) subjects, we all know that they are taught and are being described in Filipino, do I need to have it translated in English? my TOR though is already in English it's just those 2 subjects are in Filipino.
Hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks in advance!

in my case . .i had it translated . .but my friend submitted her TOR and Course Description to AHPRA-WA without translating the Filipino subjects and it was approved by AHPRA . . She's done with her bridging program and she had no problems about TOR and course description when applying to schools. . and I think the most important are the Nursing related subjects. . . I hope this will enlighten you . .
