Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi Meng:)
In order for you to get the EXACT requirements you are looking for please click this
site---->> http://www.ahpra.gov.au/Search.aspx?q=AGOS%2040 and it will give light to your queries number 1 and 3. That is an application form for an overseas nurse who wants to apply in AHPRA. It also includes the requirements for us to prepare and what to submit, plus some instruction what dox to send immediately from the PRC to AHPRA office. Honestly, it really needs time to read it. If you gt confused in the middle of your reading, you can ask it here..
2. You need to submit it through post, either regular mail or by courier. And if you don't know where to send your dox, you can choose whether you want to be assessed in Victoria, NSW, WA or etc. Their respective address can be found in AHPRA website.
3. how long it will take? the assessment period? some will take 3-4 months or more, maybe depending to what state. but as far as i know it's getting longer now due to a number of applicants.
So, if you are decided to apply, better read the application form or the AGOS-40 and that is the very first step for your aussie dream..
Good luck:)
clinical practice wise, it would definitely be advantageous for you if you have experience working in the hospital setting. then again, if you don't have experience, as long as you pick up things quick and you do ask questions rather than pretend to know what you're doing, then you'll be fine.
what i can say is that... even without experience, you will still be fine to get through the course especially if you're enthusiastic and keen to learn.
i quoted this from cioman's post which was originally haoyin's. hmmm. does this imply that there are nurses with no experience who are able to enroll in a bridign course???
and i noticed that haoyin was waiting still for his ahpra registration yet he is already having classes in his bridgin program??? hmm. what am i missing? @.@
hi there..yes i was interviewed thru skype face to face..
At first i was asked if im currently staying in aussie or overseas. After i responded with their email, they immediately scheduled me for an interview.
Better ring them so you could ask for your interview date..:)
Whoaa! Really? ACFE conducts face to face interview? Is the interview process with other BP schools conducted this way? Lol :uhoh21: I thought its just a phone interview.. I guess I need to build up my self confidence on this! lol
thanks jacgreen02 for your reply. i've already submitted my RLE & course description as earlier requested by AHPRA. but it seems it's not enough.it's starting to drive me crazy. maybe they also want the sink & bowl.
cheers!!
Did you submit your TOR? I think they are asking for your TOR. Maybe you just sent them your course outline

Hello, for those who were able to enroll to LTU Bendigo, I have a question:As I'm still looking for financial sources, I'd want to know the length of time that will be given for the tuition fee payment after I receive their Letter of Offer/Confirmation that says I'm accepted in the program and should proceed with the payment of A$10,000?
Thanks in advance for your reply(ies) :)
Sincerely,
Stereo
Hello. I was supposedly for january Intake but was moved to may, even if you have or you dont have problems regarding finances, what you are fightingfor is the availability of the slots. So if i were you, immediately pay the tuition so you can secure ur ecoe. Hope that helped!
