Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello! Is anybody here heard of SCC Labour and Employment? I want to consider their funding scheme but im still quite hesitant as they haven't established their name on this field yet.
A funding scheme...I think it's one thing to risk your own money but if you will be risking your family's possessions, isn't it too high a risk for a future that is not guaranteed?
The only guarantee I can see is that the scheme will definitely get their investment's worth. And I mean the huge collateral and not the 'peanuts' they will get from you if you do get a job and get sponsored for work after your BP.
At least try to get your BP in NSW. There is somebody in this thread who claims there is a shortage of nurses there.
Hi! They're actually good, and they have great facilitators. The assignments are just a bit stressful, especially because we had to do them while we're on the placement, but it's okay, we can manage. We're finishing this Friday. And oh, I'm living with hotrod. hahaha!
Nice to hear that! Do they have early exit options? Are all your clinical placements held in Melbourne?May I know where are you currently renting? How much per week? Sorry if I have so many questions as I don't have any friends or relatives near AAoN? Thank you :)
Does AAON accept emailed applications?
Yes they do .
hi makikay! im taking IHNA intake in melbourne this feb. how bout you?
hello reesepano:)
i am waiting for them to reply from my email attached with my application form and other dox.. have you already interviewed? do you have slots for their feb intake?? im really interested to take their bp since its the earliest intake i can enroll. Aside from ihna i also applied at ACFE. If who's the first one to offer a slot for bp, definitely il grab it. how about you?
please let me know if you are really into to IHNA..
Good luck to us...
Hello Makikay! How was your interview? :)
hola ds42:)
I had my interview this morning and i guess it went well. however, i am not that confident with all of my answers. At first, i was asked about my self, secondly she was asking some experiences based on my clinical exposure and lastly she threw about 4 questions and its all situational. Its more of prioritization. Perhaps i answered everything, yet not really sure if i answered correctly hahahaha :uhoh3:
( back of my head said " bahala nalang si batman) huhu...
have you passed your application form and other requirements?
please let me know the progress ok.. btw, are you going to apply in ihna? i sent them an email and they responded that they still have slots for their feb intake..

Really??? oh i love to enroll IHNA. Have they interviewed you? How was it? haha.. Can i ask if what email address you used in sending your dox since mine has been sent back for 3x (thru a mailer-daemon)..i really don't know what's the problem.. Are you done with the pre BP course that cost 500 AUD and the visa thing?
I hope i could get IHNA for their feb intake..oh Lord! :redpinkhe
Hello makikay and reespano,I sent my application to IHNA Perth but no replies yet. How long did they notified and scheduled for an interview you after you sent your application? Im hoping to get slot for January or March intake next year. TIA
hi there! try IHNA melbourne for february intake. i think it took me less than a month to apply there (assessment, interview and offer letter). and what i like about IHNA is that you dont have to pay the whole amount of 11000AUD to obtain your Confirmation letter for Visa Application.
@makikay- ill send you a priv msg for the details. :) try calling them too.
good luck to us!

Can I have their FB accounts? I already have an eligibility letter from AHPRA and I need to settle everything the soonest possible time as it will expire by June 2012. Finding a school for the bridge course is very tough nowadays as nurses from India are swiftly filling the year 2012 slots. I want to know more about SCC from other people's point of view as the amount involved is huge and scams are not uncommon these days.
