New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi guys, I just want to know if AHPRA will inform the applicant that they have already charged the fees or they just charge it right away? My problem is, I used a debit card in paying the application fee so I won't have a bill for that to check if they have already charged the said fees.

i have a question. is ihna still accredited with ahpra? i do not see their name on the list of accredited bp providers...

as of my case, AHPRA WA sent me an email acknowledging the receipt of assessment.

[color=rgb(65, 105, 225)]i paid ahpra with my credit card. the amount was just reflected on my credit card bill when i checked it.

I just got my offer letter from La Trobe for the May 2012 intake. What should I do next? They told me that I should send the following to La Trobe International:

1. completed and signed offer acceptance form

2. payment for the required deposit as set out in your letter of offer

3. a copy of your pre-visa assessment (PVA) where applicable

I researched regarding student visas. So the visa that I need to apply for is the Non-Award Sector: Temporary Visa (Subclass 575) - Assessment Level 1. So since it's Assessment Level 1, I don't need the pre-visa assessment. And I just have to pay the required deposit right away?

To anyone who applied for the student visa, please tell me if I got the info right. Because I plan to pay the tuition this week...

To anyone who got in to La Trobe and are for the January intake, I'm asking for some assistance on what steps I should take. How long does the student visa 575 allow me to stay in australia? This was written in my offer letter. This amount was added to the tuition fee

Visa Length OSHC - Single 4 months $140.00

So if I avail of the 4 months OSHC, then my visa would probably allow me to stay for just 4 months? So should I get a longer OSHC coverage, like for 6 months perhaps?

I have just been researching for the last couple of hours since I got my offer letter. Now I'm just plain confused

Please help :(:(

Hi rajotolentino!

I am also hoping to get into CON's January intake. I'm a bit lost on how to make the payment. May I ask how you paid them? I'm thinking of telegraphic transfer but I don't know how to do it.

I paid it thru telegraphic transfer.

the CON will give you their bank details then when you are ready to pay, just go to BDO and they already know what to do.

I'm done with the tst but yet to complete my hep.b, and mmr... :p

Who among us here are for the January intake? :p God bless us guys.

chilbrat, is there any immunization card that we need to download online?

or the checklist together with the evdience will do?

im really confuse with this immunization requirement

Hi, anyone who has an idea on what to wear during the BP at ETEA? I read somewhere in this thread that a white polo and black/blue pant and black leather shoes are needed for the clinical placement and civilian clothes for the lecture. That is for the male. I haven't read any about what females should wear... an enlightenment on this matter is highly appreciated. Thank you

Hey, im also for may intake. Supposed to be for january though. I asked idps assistance for everything. I plan to lodge my visa with their help too. Is it possible to stay for 6 months with student visa? I haven't thought of that. I already paid everything with oshc single for four months. O.o
