New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi, im a new member of this club:yeah: i received my eligibility from AHPRA last Sept 20,2011. i already send to IHNA my application form including dox needed and my eligibility from AHPRA as well last week. they emailed me and suggesting to take online course of intro RN to BP. is it necessary to take Introduction RN to BP and do online studies prior to the course of BP for Qualified Overseas nurses? :crying2: anyone can clarify this? thanks a lot

Hi, welcome kael. We are on the same situation right now. I'm quite puzzled why everyone who enrolled in this institution for BP must undergo the said e-course. I am about to take it because IHNA is the only school I've applied for BP. But I really want to be guaranteed a slot for their BP in the earlier intake next year before I undergo the online course. Also, I need to know if someone is already gone through this new process of applying BP in IHNA.

I just received a post letter from CON today. They acknowledged the receipt of my application to their Brodging Program But they were requiring more documents to be submitted. They are asking for "A Valid letter of refferral from AHPRA". I'm confused on what do they meant of this. ARe they referring to the Eligibility letter from AHPRA? Coz if they do, I already sent them a scanned copy of it when I sent my application to them via email. Or maybe they want me to arrange with AHPRA to send them a letter of referral. Is this it?

I need to be clarified. SO for those who have done their BP at CON, your help would be greatly appreciated.:redpinkhe

In addition, the letter also requires me to submit a "valid current VISA for non-Aussie residents", evidence of immunisation status and police check. I'm just wondering why they are asking me to submit a current VISA when they are already aware that I could not get the VISA without an Offer of Place from them. ( I'm pretty sure that this letter that I received is not an Offer of Place yet.)

Hi mookiblack! we're on the same boat. I also received a post letter from CON recently. They ticked the AHPRA letter and the police check only. I also sent them a scanned copy of these. I emailed CON and am still waiting for clarification.

please be advised that the documents that we have on file are the ones that have the ticked boxes. you are required to submit all documents that are not ticked. therefore you need to provide us with evidence of immunisation, full fee of $10,000 and visa. upon receipt of evidence of immunisation and fee, the college will issue you with a visa support letter. when your visa is granted, please scanned and forward it to reach us 3 weeks prior to the commencement of the program which is expected to commence on 30 jan 2012. only applicants who have the complete documentation will be selected for the program.

I have already sent them certified copies, tomorrow will be sending the scanned copy of TT details. Next stop, immunisation. Are you also for their January intake? Thanks.

I already sent them the certified true copies (scanned). So aside from the scanned copies you also sent the certified hard copies? did you send all the required docs or just the ticked ones? thanks!
