New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

i heard that they require 350k amount as a collateral or a house and lot title, then they will be providing a loan amount of about 1.2M Php which you will be paying for a duration of 4 years.. which means they will provide an employer as well but the catch is, you will be only able to leave your employer after 4 years or after paying the whole lone amount.. anyways, i still am not sure about all of these things that's why i'm asking you guys if anyone of you has signed up with them, if it went well or what.. does the whole bp course would really go as high as 1.2M??? it's a huge amount of money at stake that's why i wanna be so sure...

:crying2::crying2: i got pressured by every post regarding Bp schools.. i just sent my papers last week and haven't got any emails yet from ahpra..i will wait for 2 weeks.. lets all pray and be positive...

about SCC , luckily we got back our 25k commitment fee.. MS.xxxxx and MR.xxx told us before that the 25k fee include the ielts review , test, etc.Im reviewing my ielts and im ready to take the test, I called SCC, then all of a sudden they want us to pay the ielts test fee and that fee will be refunded if the collateral ( house ) is approved..We are shocked .. lol. 350k vs 8k ? . Also if your collateral is a house that is flooded by typhoon ondoy, better find other land title you own because that will not be approved by the bank. SCC told us to loan from other banks but im not taking the bait because there are no contracts from other banks except from the afflliated bank of scc. It is too risky and because of that I dont trust them so I told them I want my money back.. to cut things up.. I suggest not to go to any agencies.., you can be RN in AUS by yourself if you have enough money and information. I also suggest to read pages 400 and up to present for further information. If there are any questions just ask here.. some people are friendly here so feel free to ask. cheers

I would like to know who the employer is using this agency or other agencies using this system to employ servant style RN's in Australia, anybody has any idea?

What I know about SCC is that thye already increased their application/registration fee to 50,000php. Regarding IELTS, they've once told us during their orientation that they will be the one who will pay the review cost but not the ielts exam fee because some of their applicants were not taking the ielts exam seriously. Re-taking it would cost them a lot. When it comes to collateral loan, they are now accepting cash as collateral (350,000php) in order to hasten the approval of your loan. That is all I can share regarding SCC.

@ceridywn all i know is they have an office in melbourne , i dont know if its true..

@jayinvicible.. 50k?!?! wow.. I think the reason for that is some people in butuan failed the ielts exam.. I mean almost all.. 2/30 i think..nearly bankrupt? and during that time I called them and they said "OUCH" . Also they told as an assurance that they will be the one who will be paying the test fee..blah blah. Maybe during your time they changed the policies. About the loan.. its a bit risky to pay through cash because there is no contract outside of the affliated bank. By the way, the collateral thing is hard to pass , it has guidelines about the size, location and many more about your land title. Many of the applicants failed and were forced to loan to other banks. i dont know any more information beyond that.

This sounds dodgy. Before an employer here in Australia can hire a non-resident ie apply for a work visa, they should satisfy the Immigration requirement which is they should have posted on the local paper and such, and if there are no suitable applicants only then are they allowed to hire non-Aussies. In short they have to justify their hiring. The trouble with your post is that they are wiling to sponsor immediately after your BP? I would think twice about this. The BP course should cost roughly P400,000 or $10,000 a bit more in some areas. The current exchange rate is $1=P40, conservative estimate. I use http://www.forexworld.com.au to send remittance to the Phils. You can check their exchange rate there. (free advertising, sorry) - I don't work for them or gain benefit from putting their site here. Just for reference. $30000 for a BP course is just way too much.
