Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Thanks kristeeta. But as I have posted days ago, ANZ Bank in Manila charge way too high! Their transaction fees makes me crazy! I'm need to cash out almost 51,000Php for 1,000 AUD. And to think, that was when the buying rate is Php41.60. (Selling rate is Php44), so how much more today!?? Their buying rate as of today is Php42.25 so I'm pretty sure their selling rate went up as well. Hmmm...
hey, try asking bdo. i just paid for my tuition thru their bank, fund transfer to ANZ, they might have a way.. their aud selling is php43.

Thanks iamjo1130. Do you have an account with them? Because when I called the nearest branch in our place, they told me that I need to have a dollar account with them for me to do the funds transfer. Please PM for the details if its not too much to ask. :) Thanks again!

sorry i cant do pm's, this is only my second post.. yeah i think its needed, my folks handled it coz they have one. i was hoping they could make a way to transfer funds without opening a dollar account like in your case.. anyways, if its really not possible, i guess the best thing to do is really try to ask for the breakdown of the charges from the ANZ bank, coz they're exchange is way high. considering the selling rate now. but try to consider if there really is no other way, coz as for my case, the selling was 43php, but the total charges paid for the telegraphic transfer was almost 5kphp, so more or less thats close. maybe they'd have to convert your php to usd then usd to aud, im not sure but from what iv experienced, they dont convert php directly to aud, so we really lose some when we do double conversion. just a thought though.. hope it helps..:)
@cioman94thanks.i was just confused between the 2questions. will immediately accomplish what Ahpra asked from me. im hoping for the best with my application. btw, they charged 421Aud on my account already for the fees so it's not 450aud pla..goodluck to other applicants as well =)
Hello shynern07! I am glad that you have already heard from Ahpra. I am on my 2+ months waiting for their reply also. I applied initially with NBV but was asked by Ahpra to re apply with them. They actually waived my assessment fee which I made with NBV. How come you paid for 421 AUD? Do you mind sharing the breakdown of this? Also, what state are you applying for registration? Thanks.:)
@salmonella
i applied through AHPRA Victoria. Haven't you received any feedbacks yet since you relodged your application? I actually dont know the breakdown of the 421Aud..what i know is that this was charged on my bank account with name of AHPRA Melbourne with it. I think Glio has posted the breakdown somewhere in this forum with the same amount..im not sure though..best of luck!im still waiting too what would be the finally decision. Hope it would be positive.
update: i received an e-mail from an NSW officer that applications coming in from victoria are being forwarded to them. omg i am so avoiding NSW (i don't want to live with my relatives there hehe) and they forwarded my app there ahihi!
question: is AHPRA prone to scattering documents contained in a single envelope? hehe i am so suffering from cranial arteritis + cephalalgia right now ahihi! (if this is not true, then my judgment day has come to end me hehe). i so want to call them right now. on second thought, i'll just e-mail them ahihi!

Thanks for updating us. Hmmmm I'm planning to send my application to APHRA NT but now I'm contemplating whether to send it to NT.what if they'll do the same and send it to NSW, then I think its better to send it directly to APHRA NSW. hehe
