Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

@Glio how did you answer these questions? thanks.

just double check with glio, the master of forms and documentations..
good luck..
i'm no master, well maybe the i'm the incarnation of pessimism + paranoia ahihi! aack! i didn't know what to answer in the "category of registration", so i left it blank. i'm in trouble again! ahihi!
no i didn't, or rather, can't include it. because in the hospital where i volunteered, they don't include job description in a volunteer nurse's SoS, so...i'm in trouble! ahihi!btw, love the username! are you a kris aquino fan? ahihi!
glio, may i ask at what page will i find the requirements of so-called "skills assessment" that kristeeta mentioned?? been browsing the AGOS4 form now, cant find it..
thanks..
the answer is YES... it simply means: You promise that before you WORK as a RN, you must first have a prof. indemnity insurance (PII)..TO YOU AND TO ALL FUTURE AUS. RNs... in order to comply with this policy regarding PII by the time you become an Aus.RN, all you have to do is to become a member of ANF in the state you are working.. if you work in Victoria, then be a member of ANF Victoria.. if you work in NSW, then be a member of NSW NA.. the membership fee already include the insurance premium, so you will save a lot, hitting two stones with one bird...
good luck to all applicants....
very well said. btw, what's ANF? Australian Nursing Federation? hehe wild guess, but i think i've encountered that acronym somewhere
@kristeetawhat do you mean by documentation on skills assessment?the statement of service from the hospital?yes i did attach.
i'm not sure but i think she's referring to the part IV of the CV, the Clinical/Procedural skills in which you have to rate every nursing skills if you are either competent or observed. i'm not sure but i just realized that that supporting documentation for part IV of CV would be the job description in the SoS

thanks, this answers my question.. guess you are right.. ive heard somewhere in this thread from applicants that they did not really provide such details..
just now i realize, therefore, when we ask for a SOS, we should try to ask also for a certified copy of the job description.. as manny pacquiao said, "now you know.."..
got an email from AHPRA NSW yest regarding my applcation. im just confused though... how come it said in the email that "we are awaiting the qualification standard for international applicants educated in the Philippines."? enlighten me please.. anyone
maybe because they look down on the education system in the philippines? (which in reality, is really poor) hehehehe. can't blame them though if this is the reason hahahaha! *sigh* this is so degrading for the nth time ahihi!
