Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

i didn't go through IDP. I'm still not done with the vaccines. when do you plan to enroll? hope the four of us nina razetine can meet up so we cn discuss accommodations etc. Student visa is quite expensive, I am wondering if after 3 months we could work while looking for jobs :-)

the last time I check, student visa fee is 19,500php. :) Yes can work up to 20 hours per week but I don't know if our schedule will permit.

Morning everyone. I would just like to share my timeline with you all i n here. Ahpra received my application june 28. Received an automated email july 1 saying they got my application. Rang aphra yesterday to follow up my application and ask if they receive my other docs such as TOR,CERT of good standing the lady told me they already got it. I also ask if i do have a case manager she said dont have a case manager yet still waiting for someone to pick my application and be assess. Due to the bulk of applications they have there was a delay. But she told me the july papers that they received are slowly being pick up n assess. Its Ahpra victoria by the way.
For those who are lookingbfor accomodation try to search gumtree.com.au or flatmates.com.au. Just pick the place where you want to stay and a list rooms for share accomodation will be shown.

Oh i am sorry to hear that, It is a little bit heart breaking knowing that your application has not yet been assessed..
Don't you have plans to transfer it to another state? I also heard that AHPRA VIC is quite slow due to hundreds of applicants.
how much did they ask for the tuition fee? are you enrolling @ Perth campus?
their tuition fee for 2011 is 11thou AUD but i dont know if they will increase their tuition next year since they told me that they didnt come up yet with final details regarding next years bp intake such as commencement dates, tuition fee, etc.
i wanted to enroll in their perth campus coz i have lots of friends there. :)

I tried to search the application form for LTU yet i have not found it. Can you help me where to locate it?
can we apply to ltu through email? and by the way... does the student visa grant a longer stay than a 456 visa? thnx... will be applying to ltu for the may 2012 slot but i guess we have to pay 80 au dollars for the application.. oh well, God bless us all.
IHNA and AAON are taking an awful lot of time processing applications...
