Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

WOW!! Same here I am applying for WA.. I am planning to take on IELTS this OCtober so I can still catch up before another "new" and "unexpected" news will come from AHPRA.Can I ask for your email add because I really want to ask a lot of things just to make sure that the process that I will do in applying for an LOE is right. of course if that is okay with you..
Godbless to you and I hope that this will be your chirsitmas gift this year! :)
They already received my papers. they already emailed me last Sept. 19. Thanks!
that's good.. what email address did you use in sending a message? Is it the e ad of your registration officer?
Yeah.. I realized that too joiemike. It is indeed much cheaper compared to ETEA. Im planning to enroll in the schools you mentioned but i'm having second thoughts because I don't have friends who undergone their BP in these schools. I don't have someone i knew within the vicinity of these schools so I might have difficult time looking for my accommodation once I am enrolled.
Getting accommodation is just a minor concern unless you are after a free stay with relatives or friends. I would prefer going to the Uni's because their tuition fees are cheaper, they have early exit option, and their being a uni is more reputable than others (adds prestige to your educational qualifications).
I, myself, am still not sure where I am going to stay... And my intake starts Oct 3 already . If there's no other option for me, I will just take that 150/week homestay just across the school. My niece already checked out the place for me and there was no bed!!!! I still have to look for one. Am thinking of that air mattress for camping. And my niece didn't like the bathroom. Hey, I don't mind it actually. I still prefer it since it's just across the street from the school. At least I don't have to commute everyday. And besides, the lectures are just going to be for 3 weeks.

Lucky for you that you have your niece to look for your accommodation there. That is why Im hoping to be granted a slot from IHNA since most of my friends are temporarily residing around the school campus. In that way, they can look for bed-spacer for me or if I'm lucky enough, we all be living in one roof. By the way, congratulations coz you are going to start your BP next month. Hope to see you soon in OZ.
yey! thank GOD! i passed the IHNA interview!!!:w00t:
this is the one im dreading since last week coz the interviewer threw me a hard question regarding diseases.. hmm.. now i just have to wait for the offer letter so that I can process my visa.
Hope i wont encounter major problems in visa processing ! thanks to everyone who motivates me to keep on going and become optimistic with the outcome of the interview. God bless! :hpygrp:

did they tell you that you also have to undergo the Inroductory course to RN Bridging program?

yep yep! coz they told me it is needed in order to somehow give me an idea about BP itself, etc. better have it than to enroll in other schools with expensive BP fees. earlier this week, i have plans to apply to other schools aside from IHNA. But i have to complete this application since im into this since August. :)

Yes. I already emailed them about this and they told me to just wait for the initial assessment.
