Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Cool Evenings to Everyone! To my future classmates at La Trobe Next year:
(esp. razektine)
I just want to inform you I have already lodged a Student Visa Subclass 575 last Monday.
Last Friday, I have my medical exam however Nationwide Health in Cebu was unable to find my name in the e-Health.
I went to IDP to ask about this on the same date and was very surprised
when I was told that my 575 Visa had already been approved on Wednesday.
Just 2 days only even without my medicals.
Now, I got this small problem on how to pass my medicals online...
Future classmates, please communicate to me...
Count me in! I just got my eCOE today from La Trobe. I'm also planning to have my medicals done in Cebu either in Nationwide or Cebu doctors. Which do you think has less applicants?Anyway, that was really fast with regards to your student visa application! Probably they weren't that strict with the result of the medicals perhaps? I hope mine will have no problems too when the time comes I lodge my visa. :)
I also emailed them about this one and they replied right away. they asked me to wait for further instructions. i also explained to them that I already sent the said document. so let's just hope and pray that everything will turn out fine.
Thanks for responding netzkee. Maybe I will just send them an email again.
Thanks much.

I think there is a link in the DIAC website (The one where you can followup your visa application progress and the like) where you can inquire regarding medical exam questions. If I'm not mistaken, its also their protocol to forward all results to the embassy within 2 weeks. In that case, you have nothing to worry about. :)
or maybe your name sounds super healthy they didn't even need to see your medicals anymore!

hi...i may just pay the tuition of LTU this week. Hoping I can join the January intake
Along with it, I have also sent a photocopy of my valid I.D. I cannot remember how long it took before PRC released my certificate but once the certificate is released, PRC will be the one to send it to AHPRA, you just have to pay for the courier. Mine took I think 7 days from PRC to AHPRA.
:eek:How dare they! Have these requirements on their application form and when the applicant does not provide, do not contact the applicant!![]()
Maybe contact a relative and also if possible do some research on this forum for CV's.
Hi ceridwyn,
so annoying for them to let me wait for 3 months... they won't even reply to my email, so I have to go to their office many times just to accommodate me! Well, it's good that I still have heaps of time to prepare though I just hope it would be a positive result.
Hello fellow nurses, especially to all who are having their BP in La Trobe. Can I ask if what type of visa you'll be planning to apply?
Student Visa I guess :) or visa 575 Non-award Visa as the previous post suggested :)
Hope to be granted a slot too for La Trobe's Iron Program January next year, hope and pray, haayyssss.
Looking forward to meet all La Trobe peeps for January intake, soooo excited hehehhee:lol2:
Hi everyone,I need help for my application in AHPRA. I am on student visa here in OZ and while studying I lodged my assessment and I have been waiting for ages for the result. Only to find out I lack two more documents, my CV and Certificate of Good Standing. Bloody AHPRA! They can't even be bother to contact you unless you go there personally. But anyway, I am just wondering does anyone know how to apply or anyone applied already without going to PRC for Certificate of Good Standing? One more thing, anyone generous to give me a sample of CV :) Thank you!
Need answers ASAP! plssss
Here's the link for the CV format:
http://www.ahpra.gov.au/cv.aspx
I found that on the AGOS-40 form, you know the part where it says "It must also contain all the elements defined in AHPRA's
Standard Format for Curriculum Vitae which can be found at...".
Guys please read the form. The CV should have been sent with your AGOS-40. If you read the form, it tells you that you need the Cert of Good standing. I just skimmed through the form and found these information. You who should have read the form should read it thoroughly.
Why are you blaming AHPRA for your shortcomings? If I work at AHPRA I won't contact you either.
