Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hello fellow RN's!
I just want to ask a few things regarding my application to AHPRA for an LOE.
1. PRC says that it'll take 7 days for the certificate of good standing to reach AHPRA, is it ok if the Certificate of good standing will reach ahpra later because I am planning to send my requirements all at the same day.
2. Where do I pay? Just can't seem to find where to pay using a credit card. I can't find the AHPRA account to where I send the money.
3. What is the sequence of passing the requirements? should I pay first then send the requirements together with the Certificate of good standing from PRC?
It will be of great help if you can answer these simple queries :)

hello kadajRN
answers to your queries:
1. Yes, no problem if it will reach AHPRA later or earlier than your application and other requirements since they keep and compile your docs.
2. Almost in the last page in your application (if im not mistaken), there are blanks to fill up your credit card number and other informations including the owner's name and signature.
3.Send your application ( where the info of your CC is included) and complete requirements asked by AHPRA together. They will send you an email to acknowledge they receive your application, as well as a receipt.
And let the PRC send your Certificate of Good standing. Opps do not forget to go to your agency or review center where you applied for your IELTS exam, you ask them to request to the main office for the original result to be sent in ahpra's office.
Hope i answered your questions :D:D
Hello fellow nurses!
I have been lurking in this thread for quite a time already. Thank you so much to everyone who have contributed in making this thread a very informative and helpful one. :loveya:
My eligibility was granted by AHPRA NSW recently, after 7 months of waiting. I am hoping to get a slot in CON for their earliest intake next year. However, the in-charge told me that there is a long waiting list for next year's programs. I will try my luck to apply in AAON. I'll send my application within this week. Can anybody please share with me the link for La Trobe's application form? I cannot find it in their site.
Thank you very much in advance! :)
Cool Evenings to Everyone!
To my future classmates at La Trobe Next year:
(esp. razektine)
I just want to inform you I have already lodged a Student Visa Subclass 575 last Monday.
Last Friday, I have my medical exam however Nationwide Health in Cebu was unable to find my name in the e-Health.
I went to IDP to ask about this on the same date and was very surprised
when I was told that my 575 Visa had already been approved on Wednesday.
Just 2 days only even without my medicals.
Now, I got this small problem on how to pass my medicals online...
Future classmates, please communicate to me...
Hello fellow nurses,
If somebody could send me a list of available BP schools in Western Australia and their fees that would be great. My aunt is in Perth and she will let me stay there during the program. Hopefully we all be receiving our eligibility soon by God's grace. Goodluck and Godbless to all!
I know IHNA (VCHN) nd HPH are one of those BP schools in WA but I'm still looking for other options, I also checked AHPRA website for the approved BP providers but I'm not quiet sure with the locations and if they offer BP programs,
here is the link for the list for nursing programs approved providers by AHPRA:

Hi. Please refer to the website for the lists of approved courses and schools which offer them countrywide.

PM sent netzkee..;)
;)
Hope my information will answer your query. But regarding the question of CONFIRMING the territory where you intend to be employed, i am not sure about it. Let's try ask some forumers here.
hi makikay_rn.. it just so happened that I also encountered the same problem as netzkee. AHPRA emailed me requiring additional school documents- course outline and theoretical and clinical units. I actually clarified to them what specific documents they need as i have already submitted documents stating the number of nursing hours and number of units undertaken. That was a week ago and I have not received any response from their end yet. I am now worried that they wont assess my documents because of the lacking documents. Please help me out with this.
Thanks.

I think it doesn't matter for as long as experience in an acute hospital setting I guess. I can't really tell.
