New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

NEED HELP FOR A PLACE TO STAY!

Hi guys,

I still am looking for a place to stay near ETEA in Heidelberg. Initially found one just across the street from the school. But when my niece went there to check it for me yesterday, there was no bed!!! The Chinese landlord told her that I have to bring my own bed...huh??? :uhoh3: The rent was expensive at $150/week and the room had no furniture. It was old, dirty, and dingy. Actually found this one in gumtree. There was supposed to be another one but the poster did not reply to my or her email.

Hmmmm. Is it possible that I can go camping near the school? Hahahha. I'm starting to run out of time.

Sometime ago this questioned was discussed and some forumers like myself, decided not to have our CV´s signed by our employers 'cos we might ended up without a job:uhoh3:

It´s a very difficult situation to ask your boss to sign a paper that means you wish to live in another country.....as for my experience, my bosses invest a lot on me and they´d be really disappointed if they knew I might be leaving them soon. :crying2:

Hello, so what happened when you sent your CV? did you let your employers sign it or did APHRA gave you an eligibility even thou your CV was not signed by your employer (would that be possible??..hehehe) Thanks in advance :)

i dont think AHPRA will accept any applicant's CV w/o the employer's signature primarily because it can be a fake document.

better contact AHPRA to explain your case. who knows, maybe they can give you consideration.

goodluck

When did you send your application and all other docs? :nurse:

i sent them all last week through IDP Manila.

Specializes in MS/ED.

hello everyone.

Now i have some queries regarding the documents i sent last July.

1. I send my CV, however there were no signature of my employer.

Do i need to make another one that has a signature and send it to ahpra? Or

il just wait for them to email me if they need it?

2. After sending my application with my documents, my registration officer emailed

me that she received my application. And she asked me to send my course outline and my theoretical and clinical units. (she mentioned only Units, is hours included with that?)

I asked my school registrar if they can procure me a theoretical and clinical units,

but they told me that all those things can be found in my TOR , so what i did i just

send another TOR plus my RLE with a note above that all my theoretical and clinical units are included there. Do you think what i did is ok?

Happy Sunday to everyone :dncgcpd:

Thank you so much

i think the course is at 13 weeks... what type of visa do we need? will the 456 visa suffice? thnx. :)

13 weeks with an entry exit option in the 8th or 9th week if we perform well. :D

la trobe requires a student visa since IRON falls under the CRICOS course.

yes it is more expensive but come to think of it, the tuition is cheaper compared to other schools and also, with the student visa, we can do partime work. i just dont know if we have that luxury though since BP is an 8hour per day program :lol2: but who knows right?

thats great! how do we apply for this? im having a difficult time finding their application form... i think it takes 3 months to process a student visa... and are there complications in students visas when attempting PR application? thnx....
