New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

guys.. just for clarification. will be sending my documents this week via fed ex.

which one should i use? TIA

Victoria

Postal Address

AHPRA

G.P.O. Box 9958

Melbourne VIC 3001

or

Office Location

Level 8, 111 Bourke Street

Melbourne VIC 3000

I read somewhere it should be the Office Location. So, what will appear on the envelope will be like this:

--------------------------------------------------------------

sender's address

Level 8, 111 Bourke Street

Melbourne VIC 3000

Australia

You are correct. You should use the office address and not P.O. box if you are sending your documents through courier like fed ex, dhl, 2go, lbc, etc. :yeah:

Office Address/Bourke Street = FedEx / DHL / snail mail

PO Box = Snail mail only

If you'll opt to send via courier nobody will "receive" the documents in a PO Box. :)

The courier probably knew the office address and delivered it there instead. Call AHPRA and confirm if they have indeed received your documents.

I think this happened to another member who posted earlier that even though he indicated the PO Box address the courier sent it to the office address.

hi.. im a newbie here.. i am currently waiting for my eligibilty for my bp and I need suggestions from you guys regarding in which University to enroll.. I want to take it in Melbourne but I heard rumors that one of the bp students who took the bp in one of the universities in Melbourne has been dropped-out and was called incompetent.. For those who have taken the bp, is this really hard to pass?? I am quite scared because my experience is only from a secondary hosp and I never had an ICU experience.. What school would you recommend that you think is quite easier or even cheaper??? As much as possible I don't want to be negative but it is 10-12k AUD and if I fail the bp I'll be dead!!!! :uhoh3:

thanks for the reply guys. that was quick. :) so i guess it will be like this.

I did the same thing: I sent ALL the documents to their GPO address. US Postal Service and FedEx rerouted the mail to the office address. So I guess it really doesn't matter where you send it. Although sending it to the GPO address may have delayed my application just by a day because they have to wait til next day to resend the documents.
