New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

yes yes im in division 1. :)) cioman, do you know where it is good to take the BP? :)

Hello, I'm new here but I've been reading some of the posts. I already have my eligibility from AHPRA and now looking for a BP school. I'm a bit worried coz I noticed that most of the schools have intakes for next year for those for this year are already full. Can anyone point me to BP schools accepting intakes for this year and early next year? I also noticed that some forumers here said that they sent their credentials to as many schools as they can. Can you send them though e-mail (faxed documents)? Thanks much!

By the way, I sent my application to AHPRA tasmania and received my eligibility within 2 months :yeah:.It's fast I think as compared to other states.

God bless:heartbeat

Congrats to those who recently received their eligibility letter from APHRA.

I believe most BP schools are full already for this year even if some would back out, there are applicants on waiting list who'll take the remaining slot. And yes some forumers here applied to various BP providers/institution, its really up to you. Best thing to do is check their website and send them an inquiry or email regarding the intake dates next year if not posted on their website.

You can apply online or through mail depending on the institution.

BTW,I'm on my 10th month of waiting for my assessment.I'll be expecting it on August 31. Well patience.....

anyone who did or know somebody who did BP in AAON?

@ unadunad, thanks for the info. I tried inquiring to every school I read about in this post. Still waiting for answers, others replied quickly...Hope I can get an intake early next year. Praying that you get your eligibility letter soon. GBU

good evening :) I recently passed the PH licensure exams and I hope to work in Australia. I have read from page 350 until the latest. Still backtracking til page 1.

May I know if the AGOS application should be lodged personally in australia because the aphra requirements state that the overseas passport should have a visa with it. from what I understand from reading is that the visa should be applied after eligibility is granted..

no, you don't need to apply personally. I don't know what others did, but I wrote a letter along with my application stating why I do not have an Australian visa. There's a list of valid identification documents in AHPRA's website.

thanks iamnomad! I'll continue researching. In the mean time I'll be hovering over the thread while looking for the needed 3-month volunteer experience. :)

guys. anyone heard of IDP processing for BP w/o any fees? my nurse friend referred me to IDP and he's also planning to work in Aus via IDP. I called IDP and got an appointment this Thursday... any ideas regarding this before I have a chat with them? TIA.
