Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hello dimpled nurse. I rang CON and the lady coordinator said the august and sept intakes are already full. I had been on the waiting list due to my delayed visa. Anyway, she says they could open another class this September if the waiting list reaches the quota. Try to contact them or better yet send your application to them now.I am asking fellows who are desperately yearning to finish their BP this year to do the same.:) I been contacting other BP providers and all intakes are already full except for next year.
I got the same answer from CON, waiting list for the September intake.
i finally received my referral letter from AHPRA last thursday.i sent my pre registration at AHPRA QLD and it took me 4 months from lodging my application to receiving the letter.
i am considering Mercy, CON, or IHNA as my BP school since these schools still has an intake before the year ends. i also plan to get the help of IDP since it is free to at least lessen the trouble of the application process to any of these schools.
i've been there last February and yeah according to them, their assistance is free of charge. dont get me wrong, this forum is a great help but i think IDP can answer our questions directly so in a way it fastens our application process since we do not have to wait for answers to any of our enquiry.
also by doing so, we can meet our future "BP classmates" which again is advantageous not only because we already know people before we set our foot in Australia but also because we can share the accomodation expenses during our BP program and who knows we can also help each other during the employment process after our BP
That is a great idea! But how could we access the help of IDP? Please provide us with the information.
