New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I stand corrected cioman94 for the ielts requirement for 457. I'm sorry. but for the ENS/RSMS, it does not have an effect. I am currently under that scheme

no worries, could you help me clarify certain things though..

you are under the ENS/RSMS scheme as you mentioned.. when you applied for ENS/RSMS, did you have a 7 ielts? or you had below 7 ielts? it is quite interesting to know if you could share your answer because there is a favorable effect to others if it is true if we could have ENS/RSMS with just below 7 ielts... thanks..

i had a first hand info regarding the pending documents for initial asessment ( ex. is IELTS) should you submit your application lacking those requirements as what is posted on the checklist of AGOS 04, WA will just give you 1 month to comply with the outstanding documents, should you fail to comply, they will scrap your application. better hurry up in taking the IELTS.

Is this true jedcarl? I was just planning to send my documents first then take my IELTS but I guess I should do it the other way around. By the way, did you call them to know all of these useful and important infos?

Does anyone have an idea if I can ask AHPRA Vic to forward my application and documents to WA? Or Can I reapply with AHPRA WA instead? VIC is taking too long and my latest update from them is that I don't even have a case officer yet. :sniff:

hello razektine... I have emailed AHPRA about this. Apparently, when I asked AHPRA-ACT to transfer my documents, they told me that my documents are currently being assessed. Im guessing they assessed it when I requested for the transfer...hehehe I think you should send them an email for request of transfer... They can answer you if this is possible or not. They may even hasten your application..=) anyways, i've heard that some applications from vic were transferred to NSW so maybe its possible... Do email them. its better if you get the answers directly from them..=) God bless our applications!!=)

Hey ayanami... y don't you give me your email so i can send you a copy of the skills that I believe should be placed in your CV... They are really just basic skills you have learned in your nursing schools and may or may not have practiced in the hospital.. Someone from this forum has sent them to me... I might as well send it to you and to anyone who needs them as an act of paying forward for all the kindness the members of this forum have extended....=)

hope to hear from you soonest...=)

hi mhai.thank you..maybe we have the same copy of cv, I also got it from a member here. Those were the skills included in my cv but the hospital refused to sign it. Does it mean that the skills written there were performed by a nurse trainee in their hospital? how will i convince them... thanks again..

hi guys! I need your help! I've been waiting for my 456 visa for 7 working days today, but I still didn't receive it. :( I tried calling the Australian Embassy Call Centre, but they just said it is still processing. I need to be in Australia on Monday! :( What should I do?!

My cousin in OZ called them and i verified it thru email, better send your documents complete rather than be sorry if your application gets scrapped and yet get charged with the overseas assessment fee, dont trust everything what the consultancy agency says, they are all just after your money that is why they rush you up with your application. getting a 7all band score in IELTS isnt that easy especially if you time pressured due to the timeline ahpra has given you. hope this enlightens you.

Thanks for the info jed. I really appreciate it. God bless our Australian dream!

thanks for the info jedcarl, appreciate it. :D

Hi, do you guys have any idea what's asked in an interview for the IRON program? I was scheduled by ACFE for an interview on Monday and I don't have a clue on what's asked. Help please...

hi, i would like to ask if all the documents you submitted to AHPRA were returned to you after you have received your eligibility letter? I was just wondering cause I might still need the certified documents for other purposes. Thanks!

Hey guys! My registration officer just sent me this message:

Can you please advise us if you have additional education (either post-graduate qualification or professional course in a nursing specialty). If this is the case, please forward certified copies of the theoretical and clinical transcripts and qualification certificate for qualification/s

I just want to confirm, this isn't a requirement to get teh eligibility letter right?
