New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello macpao87! Firstly, I would like to congratulate you for finishing and passing the bridging program!

As you can see, I will be taking my bp at the College of Nursing in July, what can you advice for me to pass the program with flying colours? Do I have to review more on med-surg or just listen to the lectures and then focus on the tasks given? I'm getting anxious coz I really dont know what are their parameters for competency.

Hoping for your kind reply.

@earubi: thanks for the reply! I appreciate it:) Just sent my documents to VIC. Now, the waiting begins. God bless everyone!:)

AHPRA emailed me to call this number if I would like to inquire about my registration status : 1300 419 495.........but in their website it is stated that for overseas calls this following number should be called: +61 3 8708 9001

so which is which?

hi mookieblack!:)

where did you send your application? and when did you also receive your receipt of application for registration?thanks!:)

For the one month lecture, just the casual clothes. when you go to your clinical placement on the second month, you have to wear white shirt with collar, black pants and black shoes. Hope that helps
