Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I'm so sorry to hear that cioman. Do you any idea who's responsible for it? Do you think it was a race thing? or do those things happen even to Australians?
Asians and Australians are the usual victims.. i will not say which group is doing this criminal acts, but once you get here, remember my bad experience and stay safe... i know im practising "stereotyping" but you will understand why when you get here, and you will understand and feel why you will dislike "them" as others "dislike" them too... in as much as you pity them, but with what they are doing, pity will be replaced with anger.. so stay safe than sorry, and listen to the warnings that Australians will give you, they are true, at first you will not believe it (and it happened to me)..
p.s...... im not a racist, and do not want to practice racist principles, i am just saying what is really going on, the reality that is...
You can submit it to any offices. Some forum members here had already received their eligibility letters from APHRA VIC and NSW offices. It's a personal choice knowing that few are submitting applications to other APHRA offices and most overseas applicants submit their applications to VIC and NSW I decided to submit it to NT office hoping that I'll not wait too long but I was wrong
unadunad: sorry unadunad, i think im part of the reasons why you sent your application to NT, because i proposed such theory which now is proven wrong... well, that's why it was called a "theory"...
to others:
personal advice, better not leave this thread esp. if you have not yet filed or still have pending application.. this advice is for your own personal benefit, just remember it is your money and future which are on the line, not mine..
to those still waiting, hope the best for you, just keep on praying, or sending eggs donation to Carmelite Sisters seminary, or pay those prayer warriors in Baclaran church to pray for you, or make a promise to the Divine Providence which i know you will break later on, which is normal for human beings..
and ah, a friend of mine who is a thread member here is now in Melbourne doing BP, she said that there are only 2 filipinos in their batch, the rest were Indians... and my friend's classmate (the other filipino) is needlefox... you remember needlefox.. good on them.. i know, they can fart anytime they want..
Hi! I have been hoping to get into the MAY intake in La Trobe University in Bendigo, but looks like I'm not going to be able to, because I haven't received my eligibility from AHPRA yet (not to mention its been over 5 months already). Does anyone of you know any other schools with BP with an intake in June or July? Preferably in VIC? or somewhere near VIC? Thanks so much for you help.
let me guess... your hospital is St.Luke's?? just a wild guess..im disgusted with such hospitals... in my legal opinion, that is an unfair labor practice.. for the purpose of discussion, you can complain that one with DOLE, which by the way is a useless corrupt government agency... and this what really frustrates me more, that useless PNA which knows nothing but just to hold that so-called "annual conference" of nurses.. jiz!! we pay membership to PNA, and all they know is just to hold such social activities of conferences and that nursing week celebration.. whaat! can PNA just do something to protect the Phil. nurses!!! oh boy!! if only we are allowed to swear here...
Speaking of the PNA, there was recently a controversy in Cebu regarding the payment of membership fees and holding of the oathtaking of new board passers. Cebu Chapter and the Regional Chapter at odds over who will collect the dues and oathtaking fees. And all they give us is not even a decent plastic ID but the card board type only. They were fighting over the money collected. These PNA people have nothing to show for all the fees they collect. Me and my batch mate decided not to pay the fees nor attend the oathtaking a few years back because we thought PNA is just a money making scheme. True enough, they never lifted a finger against hospitals making each "volunteer" nurse pay for "volunteering". They never even help those nurses displaced from the violence in the Middle East. No wonder most of the Filipino nurses decided to stay put in Libya rather than go home. Those who went home were only given by OWWA P10,000 unemployment benefits.
Hi everyone,
I would just like to ask for your opinion regarding the IELTS requirement for skills migration by DIAC.
My current IELTS test result will expire Sept of this year (2 years valid only). It's what I used to apply for AHPRA registration and BP enrollment.
But I'm planning to apply for skills migration after gaining one year work experience in Australia. So that means later next year.
My question is, do I need to retake the IELTS or just use my existing test results which will expire this year?
If so, is it better to take it in Australia or just take the IELTS in the Phils before I leave for BP. Has anyone taken the IELTS in Australia and got high scores? In the new points system, higher points are given to IELTS passers with high scores in all bands. I'm thinking of retaking the IELTS next month before I leave for BP. What do you suggest? Any opinion will be greatly appreciated.
good morning everyone...
guys please help me, I dont have a record of my "baby" immunizations (&baby book) because the hospital where I was immunized doesn't keep these records for more than 7 years... I asked Hi-Precision Diagnostics if they have an antigen titer to check my immunization status but unfortunately they only have hepa titer... guys, I dont know what to do anymore.. what can you suggest? any response will be greatly appreciated... thank you so much :)

thank you for this miks. i will try to search online. I tried calling PRC Cebu and I always get a busy line or no answertoo bad. Hopefully they cater to online requests! That's the most convenient way!
if you're still having a hard time, maybe i can help you. my twin sisters are in cebu passing time (new cebu graduates;)), so i believe i can try helping you on that if everything else fails. :)
Hi everyone,I got this message from ahpra this morning. My payment for the application fee was posted Mar 9, 2011. Early this month, I emailed them twice asking for the status of my application. My question is, how would you count the 8 weeks mentioned in the email? From Mar 9, 2011? Or from today that I received the email? I'm anxious because I'm trying to catch the earlier intake in one of the BP schools that has already pre-approved my application pending my ahpra approval. As for the reminder mentioned, I have already sent my PRC endorsement simultaneously with my application documents and IELTS. Anybody who has gone through this experience who can share some insights will be greatly appreciated. And the waiting continues........

if i am in your case, 100% i will re-take IELTS asap.. then if i get below 7, then i will re-take-take, while im in the phils...
at the date of migration application, your IELTS should be less than 2 years old..
you will not have problems as long as you get scores of 7... BUT, here's one thing i am not sure of if there is a complication or none:
what if you got below 7 score after re-take, and you are processing your 457 visa (because you are hired already), will DIAC approve your visa as a RN in Oz considering that your latest IELTS score is below 7???? this i could not answer you.. nonetheless, this will not be a problem if you get 7 scores.. so i hope you got what im trying to warn you because i do not know the answer to this situation.. all i know is that always make sure you get 7 scores to avoid complications..

1) regarding the issue of "experience', my opinion written on page 01 remains the same, it hasn't change..
2) at any given time that i will meet a Phil. RN, i will always bet she/he does not have a paid experience or a paid RN job.. of course, 99% of my bet, i will win, as Charlie Sheen would say, "winning!!".. my sister, wanna bet if she have a paid work experience??
 i will bet my sister does not have a paid experience...... Winning!!
3) "experience".... remember that AHPRA requires you/and my sister to have at least 3 months "experience"...
