Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hey miks,im done with my medicals already - im waiting for my visa before I get my shots. how about you?
done with medicals too last week. Hmmm I just lack the 2nd dose MMR which I'm scheduled to have on April 7 and the aDPT. I plan also to have Hep A vaccine and Flu Vaccine but last priority for these 2. My CoN letter of acceptance was delivered to my sister in law in NSW then I had her fedex it to me today...dunno when it will arrive also.
I'm still not sure if I'm pushing through but I'm just preparing everything anyway. :)
hi miks103! will you do first the 456 medicals before the 456 visa itself? i think i'm done with my immunization i don't know whom to present my immunization documents..is it true that we can get a 456 visa in less than a week? i called the accredited clinic in makati and they said the results are available after around 2 weeks
I think for you guys since you are in Manila... 3 days processing for visa 456 unless they will ask you additional requirements. If you will lodge it via SDP-via centre just allocate 2 more days perhaps for pick-up and delivery. Me since I'm in Mindanao around 10 days they said :)
My medicals, I called Cebu and they told me they already sent it... but I still haven't lodge my visa application LoL
@miks and macpaoi guess i'll do the medicals while waiting for the letter of offer
@miks and mikyong
are you going to book a direct flight or connecting flight?
I got a direct flight MNL-SYD flight via PAL on the 24th. any chance you guys are going to be on the same flight?
I think I'll start with my immunizations tomorrow - since there's a 1 month interval needed for one of the repeat shots.

If I push through I'll be taking the mnl-syd PAL as well either 25 April or 24 April.
Yes you need to start with your MMR. My HepB even after the 3 shots is still
