Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
Doc bRanyan!!!
Sir Doc Branyan, do you think it will be very hard for no experience to pass the clinical in Bundaberg? I have read all this messages and it is a big big inspiration for me. I admire you bcoz you said you have no experience as a nurse, but you made it to make us very very proud Doc. Mwah!
hi! i submitted my 457 application online (e457) last feb.23 and it's still being processed, they've already asked asked us (my family) to have our medicals and boy they were quick because i received their request for health exam only a day after i submitted my application.. from what i gathered, as per my friends' experiences, theirs took around almost 3 months, i'm hoping mine would be finished sooner or much quicker as i did an online application.branyan

HELP ME PLEASE... what visa should i apply for? I already enrolled with ETEA for the initial registration course for overseas nurses (IRCON). The duration is for 13 weeks.. What visa should I apply? Is it 456 or 676? And for those who applied for the visa 456 and are already in aussie, how much was the money in your bank accounts when you applied for the visa? THANK YOU SO MUCH to those who can give some suggestions and inputs... Thank you!
hi mhaggz!.. if i'm not mistaken, i know you can already start applying at NMBWA though you still don't have an IELTS exam provided that you can forward the result to them within 3 months since your application was received by the Nursing Board..Good luck on your IELTS exam! :)
ey sof!
yeap im gonna do that! can u update me on your status?
what documents u sent? were they original or certified true copy?
i'm still confused because i'm afraid i might send the wrong documents...
thanks!!!:heartbeat:nurse:
hia!
i sent my requirements to NMBWA last week and received an email from them just this morning saying that i have to process again my Verification of Inital Registration and Verification of Current registration.. both of these are from prc.. i already processed these a month ago and i was given a Certificate of Good standing and a ctc of my board cert..
may i know what Verification of Initial Registration and Verification of Current Registration are? i am really confused by these..
is Verification of initial reg same with certified true copy of board cert?
and Verification of current reg same with Cert of good standing?
thank u
ei mhaggz, you can visit the NMBWA website and you will see there the requirements for initial registration for overseas applicants. You can also download there the application form and the approved course providers by the Nursing Board.. Where do you plan to take the bridging program? I think there are 3 approved course providers : Curtin University, WA Health and Hollywood Private Hospital..But if you have at least a year of work experience, you can apply at HPH because their bridging course only costs around $800..
The following are the requirements for the Nursing Board:
* Birth Certificate/Passport
* Change of Name document ( if applicable )
* Evidence of Nursing Education
* Initial Registration Certificate
* Current Practising Certificate / Authority to Practice
* Statement of service on letterhead paper from your most recent employer
Never send original copies of your documents. They just need a certified true copy of the documents. Send these documents to NMBWA along with the downloaded application form. Aside from that, you have to go to PRC to request for Verification of Initial Registration and Verification of Current Registration to be sent directly to NMBWA..
Hope these helps :) If you've got any questions, i'll be happy to help you :)
Goodluck to us! hehehe :)
Hi janesola!
I already asked NMBWA about the Verification of Current Registration and Initial Registration. They told me that it is the Certificate of Good Standing. You should not be the one to mail these documents to the nursing board but you have to request PRC to mail it directly to NMBWA.. Did they explained to you why you have to process it again?
