New format NCLEX questions

Published

A lot of people that I have talked to that have passed NCLEX have said that they had at least 1 or 2 of the "new format" type questions, such as the select all that apply. I am wondering, is there anyone who has taken NCLEX recently & passed, but did not get any new format questions?

I know someone who got 2 of those, but failed the test. She thinks she must have been doing well (since she got those type of questions), then thinks she started doing poorly after those questions. Are they a predictor of pass/fail?

Someone also told me that she thought I failed (before I knew my actual results) because I did not get any of those questions on my test. I did fail.

Not true Im in CAlifornia, I got one of those questions and failed. I retest next wednesday Im scared, but when do you retest?

i had 75questions on my nclex and about 5-6 alternate new format questions. my friend had 255 question, no alternate questions but still pass the nclex.

hard to say having alternate question would indicate that you are doing well but i think it varies.

I just took the NCLEX RN last Wed. I had probably 12 check all that apply and one where you had to put things in order of how you would do them.

Passed with 75 questions, but thought for sure I had failed.
