new disease presentation

hi everyone i am in a pct class and we have a presentation to do tomorrow about new disease its not graded and had nothing to do with what we are learning but she feels it will help us with our presentation skills out "in the real world" i googled some stuff but cant find anything can anyone give me some ideas but not swine flu 3 are already doing that i want to do something totally different thanks in advance

Try CNN Health or other health websites (Mayo Clinic, WebMD) and see if you can find anything that would help. CNN has an article on 10 mystery diseases that aren't widely known. I don't know if that would fall into new diseases, but some of them are interesting.

[edit] Just saw another article on CNN on cell phone elbow, it's the new carpal tunnel syndrome. Could be fun to present on that.

go on the website of the national institutes of health http://www.nih.gov/ or one of its various institutes and you will find information about new diseases that they have found and are researching and studying. alternatively, look on the website of the cdc (http://cdc.gov/)
