and with the status of our oathtaking, i dont think any hospital would hire us. LOL.
anyway, once i get my license, i'm planning to apply in governement hospitals. is it true that they require you to sign a contract stating that you'll be working for them for two years before you can resign?
and by the way, do ur board rating can influence your chance of being hired by a hospital coz some of the hospitals i've looked into requires a certificate of board rating as requirements for application...
thanks and more power!
juz wanna know guys.. where did u applied.. have u applied??plz let me know.. tnx
ive sent my credentials at the metropolitan hospital and they called me yesterday for an exam... i only gave them my board rating, that small piece of paper they give when you verify your grades... capitol medical center is also accepting applicants who just passed the recent board...
you may want to give them a call and ask about their application process... i just googled their phone numbers.. goodluck!

GOD BLESS!!!
and all of this things makes you wonder, do they really need nurses? is there a shortage in the philippines? some of the hospitals would not even hire you if you would not do volunteer nursing with them.
There's no shortage of nurses. There will actually be an oversupply as there are more than 400 schools now with a lot of graduates. What we have is shortage of nurses willing to work for free.
there's no shortage of nurses here. look for a nurse add at manila bulletin and try to apply and you'll find out that there are over 50 applicants for a sinlge position. there are also a lot of nurses working as med reps, call center agents and transcriptionist which offer a bigger salary than what an average nurse does.
