Nervous starting school-2nd time around SN

Published

this will be my second time taking nursing 1 and i'm really nervous. i already know what to expect, which should calm my nerves, but it makes me MORE nervous! plus, i hardly know anyone in my new class. i'm just scared people are going to judge me 1) because i'm young and i'm pretty sure the youngest in the class and 2) because i'm repeating. has anyone been here before? any advice?

This is my 2nd time in nursing as well. You'll soon start to know people and feeling more comfortable. I'm just trying as hard as I can, I make sure to get lots of practice I lab and if I don't understand something I ask for a another understanding even asking another student who seems like they get the info. Pretty soon u guys should start forming study groups. I found already I only study good with certain people n class.stay focused and don't get behind n your reading and class ass. Keep us informed

I've been in the same situation. As far as the repeating issue, I chose not to let people in my class know that I was repeating. The faculty and other staff at my school helped with that confidentiality. That could be an option for you. It's really no one's business that you are repeating and I don't see a good reason why sharing that information would be relevant. Just go in and worry about preparing yourself, soon you will make friends. Trust me, I've been there. :redbeathe:yeah:
