Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
They must be doing some sort of updating today... I tried to log in as an applicant like I always do, and it takes me in circles, telling me to sign in as a participant, then it brings me to the faculty sign on page (I'm an RN), which then brings me to another sign on page. I'm getting dizzy! I guess I'll try to wait a while before login in again, but this makes me want to login more to see if I am officially a participant (even though I haven't got my welcome email yet hehe).
Ok so like always I was checking my status, and it was giving me the run around to give them all this info that they already have to verify who I am. So I think wierd? I log out thinking maybe I didn't click on the right link. So now paying close attention I clicked on the RN NELRP link and they asked again, so I obliged and guess what people.... I'AM A PARTICIPANT!!! WHAT WHAT!!! HAPPY DANCE TWO TIMES!!!
:woot: SOO happy right now, all the praying and worring is over. Deep breath in, and I'm stepping off this treadmill. I hope everyone gets there signatures and final participant info asap. I didn't get an email, just checked a 1000 times a day like I always do and, bam there it was...Service contract starts today!!
I have a question about the tax withheld, if anyone has insight on this. On my PAW, it lists the 2012 federal income tax withheld, almost 31% of my total award. Does this mean that this amount will also be withheld again for the second year? If so, that leaves us with 40% of the awarded 60%, if that makes sense. I'm not complaining, this program is a blessing, I'm just trying to figure out what to expect for the second year.

My understanding is that its for both years, since the total amount awarded is over the 2 year period. But then again I could be wrong.
