  1. I was never under the assumption that we would get back pay. My payment worksheet clearly states that the first month will be the same as all other months. There will be 24 payments in all, meaning the last payment will be made sometime in september of 2014. We will neither have an extra month of service nor be short a month of payment.
  2. I think you are correct, I cannot pin point exactly where I heard this but I am pretty sure that you have to be in medically underserved area AND have a primary care/ mental health HPSA score because serving in medically underserved areas is the whole point of HRSA. Sorry :-(
  3. I agree. I think the monthly amount that you see now will be the same for 24 months.
  4. Stacee- the same exact think happened to me, then an hour later I got the email!! congrats!!!
  5. Just got the second signature!!! :-D Praying for the rest of you!!
  6. I was feeling anxious because so many had already heard so I called HRSA today and the woman I spoke with confirmed that getting the initial email is almost a guarantee that you will get an award so long as you are still working at your facility and nothing has changed since you submitted your application. She also seemed to think that the date you submitted your application had something to do with when emails went out...
  7. Nothing here and seems like nurses with lower ratios have signatures already. again, no rhyme or reason. frustrating...
  8. How do we know that October is the new deadline? When I log into the portal it still says that all awards will be made by September 30....
  9. I also got an email today!! :-) RN, DSH, tier 1, 154%
  10. I believe you are correct but she is applying as nurse faculty, and my understanding is that they have a different application and separate ranking tiers. So my guess, anyways, is that they may not have sent out any emails for the RN/NP applicants yet....??
  11. I believe either the primary care or mental health score counts (whichever is higher). Also, I'm fairly sure the HPSA score tiers are entirely new to HRSA this year, this was listed under the changes for 2012 along with the electronic app and allocating half the funds to APRNs.
  12. I'd still like to hear from others and see how many people have the participant option... Anyone?? I don't see a roles tab when I log in. I see tabs: "Home" "Account Settings" and "Log out", is this where you are looking? But, this wouldn't be the first time weird things happened with the HRSA application site. While I was applying I ran into multiple computer glitches that took weeks to be fixed before I could move on. Its the first year they are using it so there are bound to be funky things. I'm trying hard not to read too much into anything I see...
  13. Thanks for sharing! That does make sense and make me feel better! :-)
  14. We are looking at the application itself, not the home page of the portal. Mine says under review, but when I look at my submitted application (you have to download the pdf file) there are 2 additional documents in the supporting documents section: a credit check and "the excluded party list".
