NELRP is there a thread?

Published

Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

As much as I am ready for the torture to be over it is the only thing giving me hope of getting an email three people from my department at work have received emails and I have higher ratios then all of them ... One was even a third year continuation applicant ...I know the reps say location doesn't play into order but still stressful ... He did tell me however that if my application said under review still that it was a good sign that my application was complete that they just hadn't gotten to me yet ...my "w" initial is the only thing giving me hope ... Will hopefully hear something soon

Do you know what dates your co-workers received their emails? DO they have second signature yet?

My faculty co-worker has not received an email yet her D to I is much higher. I submitted the same day. At least her application still says under review and she has credit check and EPL. Keep the faith! That's what I'm telling myself daily and each time I check my application and this board!

its been 28 days since my original email..

Its been over 4 weeks since my coworkers

Both still waiting on 2nd signature..

Another day, no signature. No final email.

Specializes in Family Practice, HIV specialist.

It has been exactly 4 weeks since my first email. I can remember the joy and excitement I felt that day. I knew then that I would need to be patient, and yet here I am feeling deflated, and in despair. PLEASE, OH PLEASE, WON'T SOMEBODY SIGN MY CONTRACT! I don't know how many more times I can bear the disappointment of opening the contract, with great anticipation, only to find my signature and no other. Woe is me. :(

I feel your pain! I just have a bad feeling.

Is it safe to assume that since my application still says "submitted", no emails from NELRP, and no credit check or anything else completed that I'm out of the running? I've been becoming increasingly impatient and frustrated! I know the date is extended but I haven't heard a peep (I've called a million times asking, no one will tell me anything!).....

I know that is frustrating but I wouldn't give up hope yet.

Guys I don't know what to say???? Keep your hopes up!!!!!! I'm sure that you feel crazy but no news is good news!!!!!!!! I know the representative on the phone said it would be October 31 when all was done but remember, I got my email the next day!!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yeah:I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!

This has moved past anxiety, past frustration, past annoyance to pure exhaustion.... I just wish they'd sign our contracts everyone, so all of us could collectively get off this treadmill of worry!

I could not agree with this statement more!

Just found and joined this thread - shocking, I know. I'm an RN. Random question: Do you qualify for the repayment if your loans were in their "grace period" during the application process? Thanks everyone for the helpful information. My application has nothing exciting going on - just "submitted". No credit checks or anything.
