Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

Another Friday and no news:no: I keep checking for the signature on the contract and it's still only mine!!! Well, we all can still hope and pray that we make it!

Hi everyone!

I just received the first email tonight and am so happy!!!!!!

I figured I was out of the running since Wednesday had come and gone and still no word. (It's Thursday)

I am an RN, Tier 1, 147%.

There is still hope for RN's. Did anyone else get an email tonight??!! Hope so!! Yay!

So, now I will happily wait in torture with the lot of you for the final signature :)

I'm so glad to have u guys on this board! I don't think my wife could have heard another word about this thing!! I was driving her crazy with question like ...... What do u think? What if i filled that out wrong? Do u think they looked me over?,Anyways thanks Now u guys get these questions... At one point she politely ask to shut up about it, turn off the computer and go outside and do something

Hi all, I had lots of reading to do as I have been absent from the board for a little more than a week. Congrats to those who got signatures and/or received emails! Just wanted to add for those that have asked previously, my tax amount came to 32%, not sure why it's a little different from others, guess it just depends on the total award amount or something. It is curious how all this works, bizarre that tgonzalez and I had original emails and signatures minutes apart but I received my second email 5 days sooner, lucky for me, but I have this image of HRSA employees gleefully following this thread and knowing that they are making us absolutely crazy! Not that I really believe they would be that terrible, but then again, it must be kind of horrible to be a HRSA employee getting desparate calls from crazy nurses all day! And we are probably the nice ones, imagine all the nurses who have applied who don't know about this website for updates.

Hoping that those waiting here something soon. Who knows what order any of this is going in, the nurse faculty seemed to get the initial emails very early but then waited longer for second signature, just bizarre!

Think positive!!!!! It's Thursday....you still have Friday.....I bet it's gonna be next week but at least we are moving into September......it has to be soon and at least it's not March.........:yelclap: Just keep saying.....i'm gonna get it, i'm gonna get it.......now you have the finalist mail and all will be good!!!!!!

Glad there is tomorrow as hope for signatures and emails! I hate waiting all weekend to hear something.

We haven't had the luxury of having the HRSA rep on the website this year......I read last year's blogs and he (I think it was a he) seemed to calm everyone's nerves......i'm sure it might have gotten them in hot water but they were very cautious on giving out information.....i think it was more of a reassurance that everything was moving along but there were a few hangups in the system.....but at least if you know that, it calms you down. Rationally, I cannot imagine how they process probably 9000 applications.....it has to be carefully done......one mistake could displace someone that qualifies and should receive the award...........and you sure don't want to tell someone they have something and take it away........I do wish there was some way that waves could be announced, so we would know if they are finished choosing or kind of how it is going..........but.....this is the way it is and we are going to keep hoping!!!! And it is really good news, I think, that someone got a finalist award tonight........everything is still processing!!!!!!!!!
