Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
ill tell you guys,, I got my banking email 8/9.. I felt pretty good since then.. but i not so sure anymore.. Seems like something should have happened by now... Sick of worrying about it...
Does anybody remember way back when, when we didnt check the portal and this site every 15 minutes.
Lol I think I have officially lost it! I got my email 8/14 and thought for sure I would hear something by now...the waiting is driving me crazy
Same here! I thought we would at least have our signatures by now. But all of us RN's are in the same boat, as far as know none of us have a second signature.
Don't Despair! It took around 27 plus days for the NPs to get second signatures. Only one faculty on this site has report second signature. There is HOPE! (You know I am saying all this so I can hear it too.) It has been 17 days since my banking email. I think I have checked the BCRS portal every ten minutes today looking for the second signature. Weekend is almost here, so cant expect anything after end of business day today. Keep the faith. It is all going to work out.

All of us RNs on this site are in the same boat, and that includes NPs, and faculty. A couple of the NPs have received the final award letter, and know that they are set. But they were going crazy just a few days ago, like we are now. And even though they know they got awarded, they keep signing on to check on the rest of us, especially Tgonzalez who is on here daily. There are 3 faculty that have posted on this board. Only one of us has a 2cd signature, no final awards, so we're still going crazy. Remember right after the 2 faculty emails came, there was a deluge of emails for everyone! It seems to take about 3-4 weeks from email to 2cd signature, and then another week for the award letter. So we are still well within that time frame. Lets just keep supporting each other and remember that we are ALL RNs, and we are all in the same boat!
I think I'm might go into DT's if I don't check on here????? It's been part of my routine for many months. I just want everyone to get the award!!!!! I know that it's not possible but I do want to encourage everyone to try again. Now, I got my first email on 7/15 and second signature on 8/15 and confirmation email on 8/21......It does look like the process takes about 3-4 weeks and then final email not far behind......My application number was in 3000's and I think I submitted on Jan 23, I think. I know this is easy for me to say but "think positive". On all the old posts (and I've read these about a thousand times...lol) that if you got a finalist email that you are going to get the award.....there was one or maybe two that didn't but it was due to child support and a federal debt?......and it appears they are still sorting through everything.......I don't look for Monday to be a big day of news but who knows? I think Tuesday things will start moving and everyone will be smiling, jumping, and yelling!!!!!! I have to tell ya'll that I even checked the portal on the weekends just in case something was preset to go out then. Nurses are not good waiters, we usually take control of a situation and get it done....lol:bugeyes:
Think positive!!!!! It's Thursday....you still have Friday.....I bet it's gonna be next week but at least we are moving into September......it has to be soon and at least it's not March.........:yelclap: Just keep saying.....i'm gonna get it, i'm gonna get it.......now you have the finalist mail and all will be good!!!!!!
Thank you Tgonzalez!!!
Well, I'm guessing I'm out of the running since no email yet. Sucks again, Guess next year will be the charm. I've applied every year since 2007 except one. I'm tier 1, 124% ratio. Not gonna stress, but it would have been nice to be able to pay off my loans before my children graduate and I have to pay for their educations as well. LOL. I am #10566. I thought my odds would be getting better this year, but apparently its much worse since previous years were only about 6-7000 apps.

Since 2007, you deserve it......I wouldn't give up just yet because there are gonna be a few that hear nothing until the last minute.....Good luck to you!!!!!

Mine is in the 5000 range and I submitted on 2/15. Once again it appears that there is no rhyme or reason to any of it. At least none that is apparent to those of us on the outside. Having worked for the the federal govt in the VA system, I can say, it may not be apparent to those on the inside either.
