Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
So what do yall think the chances are that you receive the initial email but then do not get awarded? Im getting a little anxious now with people getting two singnatures and and award letters.Signed in to portal today 5 times... might need to seek help.. going crazy..
I think I signed in the portal every 30 minutes one day.......it makes you crazy!!!!
Hello my name is chro31 and I check the portal every 30 minutes
I got so wound up on checking Monday I about made myself sick.....of course, I had been on call for the 4 previous days and I was a little nuts anyway....I have to have all my sleep. I think some guardian angel from HRSA said.....we have got to save this girl, she is losing it.....lol I had even called HRSA Monday and try to never call.........
I just found out that a coworker of mine also applied for the program. Her ratio is 110%...seems to be a common number of RN's. She hasn't received an email, but she did call HRSA a couple weeks ago and was told that being "under review" is a good sign because that means she's still in the running. They had eliminated approximately 50% of applicants before that!! It's good to know that there's still hope for the RN's!
Hi everyone! I've followed these boards forever, but have never posted. I'm an RN, tier 1, 176%. I got my email on August 14....no signature yet either, and I'm going crazy! Talked to a rep a few days ago, he told me "it was very very unlikely that I would not get awarded, since I had made it this far." This wait is torture!

I guess that means I'm out if I have never even been reviewed? Why would I be out? I filld out everything correctly and I'm tier 1 with a 165% I don't have anything extra on my app either no credit check, nothing. Still just says submitted. I have never defaulted, I have good credit (not that they have even checked). What exactly makes them toss out 50%? I'm freaking out here, can you tell? What's the number to call?

I'm sure it wasn't random selection, but that is the number that were weeded out due to not qualifying for some reason or another. Give them a call, though. I don't know the number but I'm sure you can find it on the HRSA website.
Are you opening your submitted application? That's where the EPL and credit report would be.
Someone else said that HRSA has been having trouble updating statuses...maybe that's why? Couldn't hurt to call...that's what they're there for!
