Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
I am just heart broken to think that. I would have been tier one.. My director told me the we were non dsh... She filled out my coworker correct ( we r dsh and now I will be left out.. I just did what my boss told me.. If my coworker which I share the exact job with and. Who has half of the dept to income ratio I have will be awarded I will be devastated.. I just put on my app what my director told me... I don't even know what to say if and when her deposits start.. Me being an np feel like I have blown an excellent opportunity.. Kinda feel like I was screwed over. I do know that. It was my responsibility to ensure it was all correct but I did let my director fill it out, how was I supposed to know.. I hope u guy get it but I'm feeling pretty low right now like about 35000 dollars low.. I feel like I did everything right but trust my boss. I have called and emailed so hopefully since my coworker and I share same job they can help me out. And also everyone keeps saying just reapply next year and I will.. But I. Am a np so this was my best chance.. Simply devastating.. Sorry for ranting but what do I say when my coworker starts getting her money and I'm left out because my employer made a mistake.... But it was my responsiblity ...
Mine still just has my signature on it. I know it is not fair to worry about whether or not I will actually get it since I have been lucky enough to get the email, but I really don't understand why other NPs in Tier 1 with higher debt to income ratios didn't hear sooner than me, and I know some haven't heard at all, so it just seems weird this year, like they can't possibly just be going down the list of tier 1 by highest ratio first. It makes me paranoid that they just made a mistake sending me the email and on Sept 30 I will get a letter telling me it was all a mistake and I don't get anything. It is all pretty nerve-wracking.
I think u will be ok

I had same thing happen, I should have been in tier 1 but was given wrong about my facility so I ended up tier 2. I emailed the other day and they said I van't make any change to appliation. Are you doing primary care? If so you can also apply for the HRSA loan repayment for primary care providers. But both NELRP and the HRSA one open again early next year.

I feel the same way. I wish everyone could get the award and I don't know why nobody is hearing anything but I think they are just behind? I only have one signature, mine..... I keep looking but no change but I don't know how they would pull the original contract off and sign it?????? According to last year, it takes about a month to get the contract in the mail if you are awarded but this year seems strange??? I don't know when the secretary signs the approval, I think in was mid August last year?
I hate it that everyone is so stressed! I am happy that I got an email which is no guarantee but I just wish more would start coming out. Last year it seemed like they came in waves and maybe it is like someone said (the inside contact), they are just behind adjusting to the new system????
