Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

Does anyone know about the 10 year loan forgiveness for nurses, and how does it work. Checking my options if this nelrp doesn't work. Thanks

I have my loans through Ed Financial and I am no expert but I have to pay standard payment with monthly draft and they keep a record of qualifying payments and in 10 years the loan will be forgiven. You should have no problem qualifying for that, I think I just called them, it has been a couple of years and I forgot the specifics. My loans are consolidated....I hope that helps. I would just call them if I rewere you......I hate to even guess, I have heard that if it stills says submitted, it's not going to be evaluated and then I have heard that it's a glitch in the systems....so just to put yourself at ease....go ahead and call.

Back in the posts.....I have called them and they have told me that I am in verification review and other people have called and got the same information. It's a lot easier to call than worry,

Bummer, just checked, and no movement on my app. Still say "submitted" and Directloans just sold my loan to a new servicer yuck. I so want to be done with this student loan stuff

It seems like the review process will take longer this year. I wonder how many more applications they got this year compared to last year. Hopefully they realize you had no control over your loans being sold and it doesn't cause a glitch with your review.

I checked the website today and I finally have an Excluded Party List and a Credit Report! Yay Hopefully we will be getting some good news soon!
