NELRP 2010

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am going to apply for NELRP for 2010. I am getting married in June '10. I am wondering if when I apply, will they look at my debt to income ratio or that of me and my husbands combined income once we are married, since we are getting married in the middle of the application process. If anyone knows I would love to know. My debt to income ratio by my self is 268%, but much less with my fiances income added. Right now I live with my parents and am struggling to pay my loans.

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi Everyone,

I got my acceptance letter and it said my contract was effective on July 26th 2010. I have yet to receive my first deposit, anyone else with the same problem??

I would call the HRSA helpline if you still haven't gotten your deposit. Did you make copies of the bank info you sent them? Double check it and call them.

has anyone been contacted recently via email?? i was emailed yesterday by one of the HRSA reps because they couldn't verify one of my loans. so i faxed over the requested info, then i immediately received an email back with the HRSA contract, award verification, and bank info attached, that i needed to fax back to them within 24 hours (which i did). i feel like its so late in the game to be contacted, and was wondering if anyone else had been contacted recently??? i had honestly given up all hope since its already september and i hadn't heard a word from them, until yesterday. now i'm somewhat hopeful...but going crazy!! geez:eek:

any info/help would be appreciated ;)

BabysaverRN,

Thank you for sharing this update. Would you mind sharing your debt ratio with the group, so we can understand what ratio is currently being funded by NERLP? For example, mine is at 67%.

Thanks,

I have a question for those who were chosen. When you accept the payment, are you required to stay at that particular facility throughout the duration of the contract or can you leave and work at another facility on the list.

Basically, I am asking if you must remain employed at the original place of employment throughout the duration of the contract.

Thanks in advance for your responses!

A co-worker of mine got awarded on Sept 29th last year. Yes, they do send emails and contracts up through Sept 30th

Hi Sunflower3,

My ratio is 92%.

Thanks babysaverRN! Glad to see that the funded ratios are below 100%! Congratulations to everyone who has received the award, up to this point.

I just got my official acceptance letter in the mail today. I signed the contract on August 13th!! I am feeling SO BLESSED. Thanks to all for this thread and forum. Best of luck to all those still waiting.

Hi all I wa sent the email requesting signatures and account information in early august, I faxed everything back in time. Then 2 weeks later I recieved a call from a HRSA representative asking if I was still interrested and that they had not recieved my fax!!! Freaked out I re-faxed everything immediately along with my confirmation sheet that the original fax went through. That was almost 4 weeks ago and I've heard nothing. I have now joined the long list of postal service stalkers, this is a complete rollercoaster and every day i am dissappointed that nothing has arrived and we are in the 2nd week of Sept. Congrats to all of you who have recieved the funds, good luck to those of you who wait bitting your nails with me.

Hi AngRN1...i definitely feel for you! and i've only been waiting a few days:p from what i've gathered through reading this thread, it sounds like people have waited up to a month and a half or even longer to hear back after submitting the award verification/contract/bank info email, so hopefully you will hear back asap! its great that they called you after not receiving your fax! scary tho! anyhow, best of luck to you! i've heard its a really good sign when you receive that email...so lets hope & pray we both get it!!

PS..would you mind sharing your debt:income ratio with the thread? it helps people get an idea of where they stand.

thanks & best wishes :nurse:

I recieved my email aug 4 and at least 117% debt;income ratio. Other people who work at the same DSH hospital recieved emails on the same day. THey have lower ratios but have already recieved their acceptance letters a few wks ago. I have called and emailed to no avail. no one will give me answers. What if they lost the fax? I see on here that people with 92% ratios have been accepted. has anyone else recieved emails around august 4 that has not recieved an acceptance contract? Why would they ask for you bank numbers if your not going to get it, that is just cruel. Also it makes me a little nervous that my bank routing numbers are just floating around. the whole process seems backward. The acceptance letter should come first then you can send your banking numbers if you decide to accept the contract. Does anyone know of a number that you can call to get answers to why you were not accepted.

I have heard rumors that it is like alottery and they just pick names out of a hat, but nowhere in the application information have I seen anything about this. The way I read it, awards go to applicants with the highest ratio who work at the highest priority hospitals first. How does the selection really work?

Hi I'm one of the NELRP nurse faculty applicants. I received my email regarding the contract/banking info/etc on August 23rd. I was wondering if any other nurse faculty have gotten their acceptence letters yet? I have been on pins and needles since I received the email:lol2:
