I am just curious as to what the max. dollar amount is that the NELRP will repay. I understand the 60% for 2 yr. committment and another 25% for third yr. but what is the max. dollar amount? I have looked at the website and I have found nothing about it except the percentage. Other places I have looked have stated up to $15,000 and up to $30,000. Are these two different programs? I also do not understand they have a TON of applicants but I am really curious about the program (private tuition is doing a number on me). Any info. would be greatly appreciated!!!

I received the award this year and my status changed to application "not yet completed" as well. Also I never received a phone call to verify my loan pay off amounts or anything asking me if I was still interested, I received the letter last week only.

Hey I haven't even gotten my letter yet however, I received my funds in my bank account on Sept 30th. My status also changed on the site to not yet completed. Weird. I'm not sure they know what they are doing and if they do they sure keep us in the dark!! Kate:heartbeat

I don't know if my status changed or not because I managed to lock myself out of my account yet again. :) I somehow manage to do this all the time, but only for this. I have no problem with any other accounts. LOL KatieChris I think you are definately got it since they gave you the money. Without the letter it would seem like a lot of money, but when you see the taxes you just get angry. HEHE They took 22,500 out in taxes for me. I just love taxes!!!

Holy Crap, they gave it to you in one lump sum? I thought it would be a montly deposit. Wow!

We didn't get a lump sum. It's a monthly deposit. In the letter though they break it down and explain how much they take out in taxes and how much they are actually paying you. Kate:heartbeat

Does anyone know if private loans are forgiven? All I have are private loans, but now that I am taken off my parents income tax returns I can start applying for Federal Aid. If they don't accept private loans, please let me know.
